Hands down my favorite moment from the newest episode of the Internet Invitational. One of the only times we see the amazing production crew acknowledged. Of course, it's exactly who you would expect. Shoutout Big John and Ruffels! Class acts 🤝 I'm officially back btw 😅, sorry for the little hiatus there.

Well, @WaysToGolf took this post almost word for word (added an AI em dash 😂) , put their name on it, and posted it on Instagram The irony of doing that to a post about class and giving the production crew credit. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery I guess 😅

Well, this got a whole lot more attention than I thought it would 😅 The golfers I want to play with aren’t the ones who shoot the lowest scores. They’re the ones I feel lucky to spend four hours with. You can't teach integrity. Ruffels and Big John seem to have both integrity and a phenomenal golf game 🤣. Rooting for them the rest of the way 🫡

Follow-up to the Sahith post here. A heavier grip can lower the swing-weight reading while making the club heavier overall. Adding head weight can bring the number back, but you now have a heavier club at both ends. Same swing weight doesn’t mean the same feel.
Sorry I've been on a bit of a Hiatus, the good ol' J*b kept me pretty busy 😅 Swing Weight time: I LOVE Sahith's bag. Sahith’s 5–8 irons are D3+. His 9-iron is D4. His lob wedge is D7. The balance gets more head-heavy toward the scoring end. Makes sense because you want to feel the clubhead more with wedges. But his driver is D5. So swing weight doesn’t have to climb with every club. Fit the club for its job.

YOUR DRIVER DOESN’T HAVE TO BE THAT LONG. Rickie Fowler’s reported driver length at the 2026 PGA: 43.25 inches. Typical off-the-rack: 45.5–46. (This is so you hit it longer when you get fit lol) Test a shorter shaft! Compare contact, distance and dispersion. Find your length.

Lead tape: Why is it everywhere on tour? It lets players fine-tune head weight and feel. Wyndham even uses it to change how his putter sits on the ground. All the special access to each OEM, and they still use lead tape. The Pro's are golf equipment psychos 🤣

Rusty wedges look cool. But rust itself is not what creates spin. MyGolfSpy tested clean raw, naturally rusted and heavily rusted wedges. Only 100 to 200 rpm separated them, and the clean face spun slightly more. Grooves and face texture are the technology. Rust is not.

Lot of questions about Brandt's decision making this President's Cup. Here is another major one... All four U.S. pairings this afternoon normally play different golf balls. Different brands, too. In foursomes, they share one ball on each hole. That means hitting shots with a ball you didn't build your usual setup around. An equipment detail worth watching. Looks like it's working so far though 🤷‍♂️

Starting to wonder if the US needs to change our philosophy with these picks… Koivun and Scheffler should’ve been out there. No offense to Cantlay/Henley, but it’s just not the same spark. Hopefully they prove me wrong 😅
Saturday afternoon foursomes matches. No Scottie Scheffler for the Americans.

You got fitted for your irons. But what about the shafts in your wedges? A 95g iron shaft to a 127g wedge shaft is a 32g jump in raw weight. That isn't automatically a problem. But “wedge flex” alone doesn't tell you what you're getting. Your fitting shouldn't stop at the PW

Well, from what I’ve seen so far it’s looking like Koivun will be a LOCK to play the rest of the weekend 🤣. Not our best stuff out the gates today that’s for sure 😭

52, 56, 60 looks evenly spaced. But what comes before the 52? These six iron sets have pitching wedges at 45° or 46°. Your biggest loft gap is right where the irons meet the wedges. I played with a 6 degree gap between PW and 52 degree for years! Changing it changed my game 😅

How to fix this: 1) Switch to 50, 54, 58 2) Get your irons bent to tour lofts (PW should be around 47) 3) Get really good with your PW and your distance control 🤣

Ok, follow up here: Before buying another putter, try changing what you look at. One line. Three lines. A dot. No line. On the ball and the putter, there are plenty of options. Test which helps you aim where you intend. Shoutout Inside Tour Golf for the putter graphic 😅

It’s easy to pick a putter by the head shape and barely look at the neck. Double bend, plumber’s neck, slant neck, center shafted. That connection changes the setup and balance. Two similar-looking putters can feel different in your hands. What style do you prefer, and why?

Been tuning into the President’s Cup here and there during work. Anyone else feel like they’re watching ads with a side of golf 😭?

Your gap wedge doesn’t have to match your sand wedge. The T100 wedge continues your iron setup. A Vokey 50° gives you a choice of bounce, grind, etc. Compare full swings, chips and pitches before deciding. A specialty wedge isn’t an automatic upgrade. What’s your gap wedge?
