Most people in Scotland understand what

Scotland loses its resources, its tools, its ability to stand on its own.
But something similar happened to Scotland’s education system over decades.
Scotland wasn’t taught its own constitutional history.
Not the Claim of Right.
Not the Community of the Realm.
Not the fact that sovereignty sits with the people, not with Westminster.
Not the terms of the 1707 Treaty.
Not the rights Scotland never gave away.
When you remove a nation’s knowledge of its own foundations, you remove its ability to recognise when those foundations are being eroded.
That’s a form of asset stripping too not of money, but of understanding.
So today, Scots know their resources are being taken.
But many don’t know their rights are being taken with them.
That gap wasn’t accidental.

In eastern Canada, on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, a very old language is still spoken. It was brought across hundreds of years ago by European settlers: Scottish Gaelic.
However, its long-term prognosis, both in Scotland and Canada, is a cause for concern.
