Starting a motion matching system with Godot, Kimodo and Fable. It's very primitive for now but getting some progress. Might use the dual view mocap workflow as well if i can train my local model properly. Hope we can get this far ! #vibecoding #motion #godot #claude
Testing more complex motions with new models, so far so good. DINO is working great, i can produce motions very quickly. The real bottleneck remains Seedance consistency though. Motions are sometimes off, and sometimes front/side views don’t sync properly. Going to try a local video model + LoRA next. Seedance is too expensive for this to be sustainable. #vibecoding #mocap #godot

Shoutout to @CanItCode who just released a new iteration of his animation mocap workflow. A few weeks ago I shared his earlier approach, which already showed very promising results across different types of meshes : bipeds, quads, flying creatures, and more. It was one of the more interesting experiments I’d seen for getting custom animations onto non-standard rigs without relying on traditional mocap or Mixamo. In his new video, he explains that even with that workflow he still wasn’t fully satisfied. The main weaknesses were the long iteration times and the high token cost per animation. So he went back through all his previous attempts, reviewed what was and wasn’t working, and ended up with a new idea: using DINO from Meta. DINO is a vision model that can be fine-tuned/trained. Once trained on a specific rig, it can accurately detect the exact position of the skeleton’s joints in a Seedance video. That gives the pipeline a much cleaner and more reliable source of motion data to work from. The results are already noticeable. Animation quality and fidelity improve, and there’s significantly less manual cleanup needed afterward. Even more importantly, the time savings are substantial. Previously, an animation could easily take 30 minutes or more to produce. Now, once DINO has been trained on the target rig, each new animation drops down to roughly 5–10 minutes, with far fewer corrections required. I highly recommend watching the full video. It’s genuinely interesting and educational. He didn’t ask me to promote it. I’m sharing it because the ideas are solid and worth seeing if you’re working on AI driven animation, custom mocap pipelines, or anything related to driving non-standard skeletons. I tried myself the workflow and i'm pretty satisfied about the results, i don't have a lot of seedance tokens left so i took the 1st shots even if they're bad, but i wanted to see what would really change using DINO, and from what i tested previously, after the training its faster and more precise, you can make at least 5/6 animations an hour instead of 2 and its using way less tokens. Very promising new mocap workflow using only a seedance 2.5 video as reference. Got the idea from : youtube.com/watch?v=evK-Y83Q… #vibecoding #mocap #b3d #motion

Opus really cooked last night, remade the whole lightning system and the desert, dunes look like real ones now, but opus still rating the result as 5.5/10, we can do better, but i didnt expect to get such result using Godot. And the best part is that now there is physics for the sand, wherever Shai Hulud passes, it leaves behind lasting trails in the sand (the heightmap is recalculated in real time) it adds a huge dose of realism ! Oh and also added foot IK at the same time #godot #vibecoding #dune #opus

Reworking as well Shai Hulud, opus said that he's too small, so he made it bigger, reworked the textures with chatgpt image gen and animations, and now it's looking much better. Still working on it tho #godot #vibecoding #opus
So, GPT Sol 6.1 decompiled the game in fast mode, ported in on Godot and it was very slow process, then i wanted just to improve images of the game with chatgpt image gen to give it a better look and convert it in 1080p, this was very slow aswell, 2 days in goal and it wasn't over, for a 2D game with only images. Then i thought fuck it, really hating astra and sol this days they're not usable to me, so i decided to let Opus 5.5 remake the game entirely in 3D, using blender/Tripo/Godot combo with my workflow and after 1h30 i already got this result, all tools used in headless, no MCP. #vibecoding #godot #opus

Reworking the sandstorm as well, this one is the most satisfying imo. Can't wait to test the next generation of models after opus 5.5, but its already pretty crazy what he can do. #godot #vibecoding #opus

Opus 5.5 is reworking many aspect of the visuals at the same time, first the desert itself, still far from good but getting better. #godot #vibecoding #opus

Claude has rebuilt the ornithopter so that it actually looks like an ornithopter rather than a helicopter. It’s not finished yet. Added the cockpit view as well. I’m currently using a Pro plan while waiting for my Max plan to reset tonight. I’ve been practically itching to get back to this project for the past three days! #godot #vibecoding #dune #opus

You gotta be careful in the desert, even if you can ride him, he's still dangerous
Seeing Shai-Hulud and the desert getting polished by Claude is something. I ran out of limit for this week unfortunately but the result after 1 polish pass is already so nice 😱

You can't use those credits with Claude Code. So i asked Claude on Claude Code to build a Claude Code CLI Clone, to be able to use my monthly API credits the same way i use Claude Code. So i basically made Claude code with Claude code. That's a lot of claudes & codes.
Monthly API credits are now available on Max and Team plans: $100 on Max 5x, $200 on Max 20x, and up to $500 pooled on Team. Use them on any Claude model. How it works and full terms: support.claude.com/en/articl…

After the ornithopter, Shai Hulud ! I had to do it, its still looping, just the first pass of it but man opus is amazing. Everything im asking becoming real, world start to be entirely filled, smugler villages, harkonnen frotresses, all the sietches are being buult, another team taking care about the desert beauty and sandstorm, another about shai hulud, it's just a blast building games with claude this last weeks #godot #vibecoding #claude

This was my dream when i was young playing this game, to be able to really manually drive an ornithopter and to land anywhere, it's done so easily with claude. Turning this 2D semi-rts/adventure game into 3D make the gameplay very flat, so i thought about adding some points of interest in the desert without changing the main plot of the game but adapting it, ornitopther driving, Shai-Hulud riding, ecology development and army training, be able to participate to some fights, harkonnen ambushes.. That sounds really tempting, put that way. #godot #vibecoding #b3d #opus

I'm really getting sued after this (i hope not xD) My sister who's 37 years old and with whom i was playing the game when i was child told me "It's funny, the contrast between the MIDI music and the modernized graphics" so i remastered the music 😭

Bro this is just so cool. I've never thought AI would be able to remake my favorite game so easily. Opus doing an amazing job with Godot, told him that the map from the original game was missing, 10min after the original map converted in 3D with the right details, everything taking place so quickly. #godot #opus #vibecoding
