“The great challenge we face over the next 20 years,” Cardinal Reinhold Marx tells Patrick Hudson in this week’s @The_Tablet, “is the threat to democracy posed by the growth of ethnic nationalism and populist far-right parties. There are two powers that stand for democracy, human rights, multilateral ideas, our common home & humanity: the European Union and the Holy See. Where are the others?” Marx bangs the table. “Nowhere.”

EMPLOYEE OF POPULAR DC RESTAURANT ROBBED AND PUNCHED IN THE FACE DURING TEEN ROBBERY ON 14TH ST NW🚨
According to a DC police report, a worker at the La Grande Boucherie was standing outside of the restaurant on 14th Street NW last night at around 9:50pm when a group of juveniles approached him and asked for a valet parking ticket.
One of the suspects then put their hands in the victim’s pocket and felt cash. As the other three suspects approached, two of them grabbed the man’s arms, while another punched him in the face with a closed fist. The suspects then obtained roughly $260 in cash.
As one of the suspects was running away, they dropped their iPhone. The victim was able to pick it up and bring it inside, handing it over to a coworker.
Once realizing the phone had been dropped, the juvenile suspect returned to the restaurant on THREE separate occasions— demanding his phone back.
All four suspects remain on the loose, and MPD continue to investigate the robbery just a few blocks from the White House. #DCCrime

Federal officials are arresting the body brokers who bring American addicts to LA for Medicaid-funded “treatment” and dump them on the streets to die.
LA gets about as many homeless off the street each year as there are homeless from LA. Stop the inflow and the crisis is over.

In June 2020, a crowd gathered in Portsmouth, Virginia to deface and dismantle a Confederate monument—with State Senator Louise Lucas amongst them.
Lucas is captured on police body worn camera telling officers on scene “I’m Senator Louise Lucas. I know I’m in disguise, but they are going to put some paint on this thing. You can not arrest them. You need to call Dr. Patton (the city manager), because they are going to do it. You can’t stop them. This is city property.”
When Angela Greene, then police chief, told protesters to stop their vandalism and alerted Lucas that they were “not authorized to be on the property,” Lucas replied “They are now. They are now. This is city-owned property.”
Greene assured Lucas that she had, in fact, just spoken to the city manager and confirmed that no such action was permitted.
Chief Greene refused to back down. She later launched an investigation and announced felony charges (including injury to a monument and conspiracy) against Senator Lucas and several others for their lawlessness that day.
Shockingly, the felony charges against Senator Lucas and the other defendants were dismissed later that year...
And Chief Greene was wrongfully terminated for upholding the law.
LELDF was proud to support Greene's lawsuit against the city and various officials—and though her suit was not successful, it is undeniable that she was severely wronged for standing up for law and order.

I am resigning from the White House with tremendous respect for President Trump and Bobby Kennedy.
They laid out a vision of combatting the entrenched, dark forces in DC that profit from Americans getting sick.
More policy and cultural change has happened around these goals in the past 2 years than any time in history - and I know this movement is just getting started.
It was an honor to advocate for MAHA moms in the administration and steer policies like Dietary Guidelines reform, psychedelic reform, removing soda from SNAP, removing food dyes, GRAS reform, and overhauling government food procurement.

FIRST ON FOX: Sen. Elissa Slotkin faces a new Senate ethics complaint over remarks about deterring young people from joining the Trump administration.
University of Chicago student Michael Bicksel filed the complaint Thursday.
The complaint alleges Slotkin advocated using congressional investigations and potential prosecutions to discourage government service. Slotkin disputes that characterization.
