Hi Kev - the Shrews had a young Max O’Leary (their ‘keeper) with us in 2019-20, on-loan from Bristol City. Had a great season with us and I hear he made one tremendous save today. Also came to the ‘Medda’ when we played WBA in a pre-season game at start of this season.
Hadn’t heard of, or knew who any of the Albion players were before today. Still don’t. Apart from that Phillips bloke, great assist for the goal #wwfc

Hi Kev - I think I might have given them a yellow each, but certainly they should both have had a similiar card.
Surely if Foden is being sent off, Fernandes should be as well!

So sorry to hear this sad news, Jamie. Will be thinking of you all. Love from the Furbers xxx
Sadly we lost my Dad on Thursday, he died peacefully after a short illness at the age of 84 after a life well lived. So no @ShropCCLeague report from me tomorrow but Matt Porter will be a more than adequate replacement, be back next week for the climax to the season

Hi Jamie - I so admire Lloydy’s endeavour but why we continue to think that he can lead the line against huge centre halves is so odd. Gav says he is a ‘new animal’ this season but all I’ve seen is a player again battling against the odds and not looking like scoring.

I don’t see this as a positive at all. The fact they are throwing on a 15 yr old in the first game of the season having not played a minute in pre season is pretty worrying.

Just watching the first episode of the new season of Ted Lasso. No spoilers, but within a few minutes I've heard Ted explaining that he's helping his son to be the best version of himself. It's a sign; we're winning it all! #Salop
Cup action to kick off the season 👊

I rest my case, Kev!
Awful cricket from Jamie Smith, desperate to get of the mark & absolutely barbecuing Joe Root

Some concern over Smith’s temperament since he threw his wicket away under pressure v India last summer….then the Ashes. Rew didn’t appear to be that athletic, looked a flopper when diving! Always been impressed with Cox, great technician, but not frontline bat. Foakes the GOAT!
Replying to @GrahamFurber
Good question…. Surely, if he’s got over the side strain he ridiculously got whilst bowling, it has to be Foakes? Smith looks short of confidence and technically not great; Rew obviously talented but seemingly not ready. Not sure re Cox?

The number of times when I did talks to older evening social groups like WIs, that this sketch came up!
Tony Hancock's The Blood Donor is 65 years old today! Broadcast #OTD, 23 June 1961, was this the first time a single line, Very Nearly An Armful, said once only in a sitcom came to be the line that defined it? In later years, Don't Tell Him Pike, Don't Mention the War. Others?

Fair to say, his footwork is not great on most of these!
Ben stokes getting bowled, and his expressions!

Hi Kev - and even allowing for the extreme pressure of the situation, they were two really poor penalty misses against a ropey-looking goalkeeper! At least the PSG one miss was well saved.
That, given everything Gabriel has got away with all season is an absolutely beautiful moment… PSG deserved winners given that they actually tried to play some football and win during the game rather than stick ten behind the ball
