Mike Rogers just nailed it. On Meet the Press he rightfully called out NBC’s Kristen Welker for running interference for Abdul El-Sayed, trying to defend the very associations and record that should have been grilled, and giving him a softball interview that never pressed him on his radical positions. While Welker treated El-Sayed with kid gloves, Rogers pointed out the obvious: the media refuses to hold this candidate accountable the way they hammer everyone else. Americans are done with the double standard. When family social media posts, signed letters supporting Muslim Brotherhood leadership in Egypt, and a long list of extreme policy views sit in plain sight, softballs are not journalism. They are protection. Rogers is right to demand the same scrutiny for El-Sayed that the press applies to anyone who challenges the left’s preferred narrative. We went in for a routine colonoscopy with no symptoms and no warning signs. Everything felt normal until the words Stage Four Colon Cancer landed like a freight train.
