After the blank note was released yesterday, UTEP officially dropped their depth chart today. Some takeaways: • Redshirt freshman Tyler Roberts (6-foot-8) earned the left tackle job • Summer transfer Grayson Johnson (6-foot-9) won the right tackle job • Jeremiah Nash took the WR(X) receiver battle • Buffalo transfer RB Lamar Sperling gets the “or” nod alongside Tavorus Jones. I expect them to split carries to start the season until/unless one emerges over the other. • Raymond Moore III wins the backup QB battle • CB Kaleb Miles wins the opposite corner spot to Justin Content • Esteban Guillory will be the free safety alongside Xavier Smith • LOTS of true freshmen in the 2-deep • Carlos Arreola appears to be UTEP’s field goal kicker going into Friday

MinerTalk: The offensive line is probably the biggest question going into the 2026 season for UTEP football. The Miners averaged 115.6 rushing yards per game in 2025 and finished with 1,387 net rushing yards. UTEP also allowed 28 sacks over 12 games, making protection and consistency up front an important focus entering a new season. At fall camp, head coach Scotty Walden discussed the rebuilt offensive line and the competition within the group as UTEP prepares for the 2026 campaign.
