I'm launching a series where I build my own LLM from scratch to raise money for cancer research :)
Huge thanks to @modal and @real_deep_ml for sponsoring!
Any other companies interested? All the sponsorship money goes to charity.

for folks looking at improving their technical skills I rarely seen someone in the tech education put as much effort as my man moe is putting on deep-ml
highly recommend
Deep-Path: The entire Deep-ML catalog, organized into one structured learning path featuring nearly 2,000 machine learning coding problems and hands-on projects.
Throughout the path, you'll work through the math, implement concepts from scratch using minimal libraries like NumPy or CUDA, and build projects step by step
There's also Deep-Path Essentials, a shorter version with 400 core problems and projects organized into 10 sections, covering the fundamentals of machine learning

Just posted Episode 2: Training an LLM from Scratch in Pure NumPy!
The goal of the series is to raise as much money as possible for cancer research.
So far, we've raised $18k for charity : )
Check it out and let me know what you think!
A year ago, I made LLMs speedrun Wikipedia. The goal is to go from one Wikipedia page to another using only internal links.
Last year, LLMs took, on average, about 5-10s. Crazy to see Jev take less than 1s.
I wondered if someone at @typesafeai saw my YT video and decided that Wikipedia Speedrunning would be a good way of benchmarking Jev lol
Obviously, there's more to the story than this. In fact, reading about how the AI field evolved is pretty interesting.
Btw, this is part of a video I just released on building a GPT from scratch in NumPy.
If you're interested, check it out :)

Happy the Deep-ML grew enough to be able to sponsor such a great YouTuber!

I love @YouTube, and I genuinely love being a creator on this platform, but man, the way they handle YouTube Adsense is so frustrating.
In February, I tried changing from an individual to a business AdSense account. Somehow, I got rejected. Then I had to wait 32 days to apply again.
I waited.
I applied again.
I got rejected again (beginning of April).
I asked for a reason, but I wasn't given any.
All of this, btw, while making $0 on AdSense.
Now, I'm trying to apply again. Normally, you have to wait 32 days to apply again.
It's been 42 days. And I still can't apply again.
I contacted support, and they told me to just wait.
So, it looks like I'm now required to wait an unspecified amount of time.
I don't know what else to do. I thought that 210K subscribers and 9.5M views would have earned me a bit more credibility.
Maybe not, I guess.
@TeamYouTube is there any solution to this? Or should I give up on AdSense (one of my main revenue sources)?
