Founded a century ago, Black History Month remains a vital time for us to listen, learn, and lead.
GISD is proud to honor the pioneers who paved the way and the students who are currently writing the next chapter of history.
We celebrate a century of stories, resilience, and achievement.

HALF: Plano East 20, Rock Hill 12
Defensive-minded 1st half, and @PESHGirlsHoops holds Rock Hill without a made FG in the 2nd quarter. Late fast-break layup by Nariah Witherspoon gives East an 8pt edge at the break. Arianna Robinson leads all scorers with 11 pts.

🚨Do you have a current 5th grader or 8th grader?
You MUST submit your choice of school form by January 12th!
When you apply, you can select and rank up to six schools
or magnet programs. Make sure to list them in your true order
of preference — your ranking affects both the lottery and waitlists.
⚠️ Important:
- This process is not first-come, first-served. You have the entire window
to make selections or update them.
- Your top choice is not guaranteed.
