Why is impervious area used to determine a property stormwater utility fee? Impervious surface on a property is the most important factor affecting the amount of water flowing off of a property, how quickly it flows, and the amount of pollution picked up. bit.ly/3QxelkX
ALT How much will I pay per year? ERU: Equivilant Residential Unit. 1 ERU = 4,300 square feet of impervious area, $48 per ERU per year. Tier 1 Single Family Residential Properties - 400 to 2,700 square feet of impervious area - 0.5 ER$24). Tier 2 SFR - 2,700 to 6,000 square feet of impervious area - 1 ERU ($48). Tier 3 SFR - greater than 6,000 square feet of impervious area - 2 ERUs ($96). Non single family residential properties - all other properties - Charged per ERU, minimum of 1 ERU.
