Today Israeli authorities barred me and other European elected representatives from entering the West Bank to meet Palestinian students and civil society leaders, as part of a @ProgIntl delegation. We knew that by crossing into the occupied Palestinian territories, we risked being detained, interrogated and turned away by Israeli authorities. And that, alas, is exactly what happened. For more than eight hours, we were held, interrogated and made to feel as though we had done something wrong simply by attempting to enter. The simple truth is we had done nothing wrong. We went to show our support for the Palestinian people and highlight the terrible injustice and violence being perpetrated against them. We want to ensure that people back home do not look away from the reality of what is happening. Ultimately, we went to show solidarity. But we left with an even greater determination to speak out. We will not be silenced, and we will not look away. None of us should.

This is the moment Channel 4 News Foreign Affairs Correspondent Secunder Kermani was charged at by a group of Israeli settlers in the Occupied West Bank. The settlers have laid siege to a Palestinian home, while nearby Israeli soldiers keep watch but do not intervene. Violent attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank have risen dramatically over the past two years, while Israel's government has approved a record number of new settlements.

The incarceration of Fergie Chambers in Spain, pending extradition to the US for showing solidarity with Palestine, is an international scandal. Join me in demanding his release!

Must-watch from Oborne, as ever.
The Butcher of Beirut – Israel’s alternative to Netanyahu. Peter Oborne – just returned from almost a month in the Occupied Territories – came into the Double Down Newswatch studio to talk about the Israeli election, Britain’s feeble surrender to the Israelis over the consulate in East Jerusalem and the ongoing horror in the West Bank and Israeli prisons. Hi Eddie, @peterkyle is claiming he took this photograph. But Google Lens seems to think you (or maybe Simon Haffenden?) took it. Who to believe: a Labour MP or Google? 🤷‍♂️

@SecKermani telling it as it is in the West Bank
A grim snapshot of Palestinian life in the West Bank - that we witnessed over a week: - Settlers besieging a family in their own home - Israeli authorities demolishing Palestinian properties - Settlers repeatedly attacking farmers, even beating to death more than a dozen lambs - Israeli soldiers blocking the delivery of water to an isolated community Watch our full report here: youtu.be/lhRXrmg4_6M?is=NgRj…

Thank you for tonight’s report on @Channel4News. Thank you for bravely standing up to the genocidal terror state of Israel. Thank you for telling the truth, in the face of state intimidation. Take care….
Thank you for all the messages of support After a very brief stay in immigration detention, the decision has been reversed and I have now been allowed to enter Israel Grateful to all those who offered their help Concerned to hear other journalists have faced similar issues in recent weeks 🙏🏽

Forget the euphoria of Britain's change of policy on settlements. Palestinians, totally abandoned by the international community, are being ethnically cleansed in occupied east Jerusalem. I report for Middle East Eye on house demolitions in Al Bustan: middleeasteye.net/opinion/we…

The Bell Report really is a shocker.
The government's antisemitism in schools report is a travesty. It's riddled with errors, distortions and contradictions. And it will be used to silence people over Palestine 👇 zeteo.uk/p/debunked-the-anti…
