FYI, talking about Brexit yesterday, Angela Rayner claimed that... “The evidence is really clear in terms of 20% down in exports to the EU, 16,000 businesses no longer exporting to the EU, it has been the red tape on the EU deal we got, has been damaging to the economy”. But if this is indeed the evidence, it really is not clear! Let's unpick it... 🧵

Oscar-winning ex-BBC producer Lucie Kon reveals horrific antisemitic treatment. Right after October 7 a BBC colleague said “Zionists are evil” and if she wanted to call the massacre an act of terror then Israel must be labelled a ‘terror State’. This is still going on. Shameful.

Whether you agree with it or not, this is why Patriotic Platform 🇬🇧 is growing here. Decent patriotic people refusing to let anarchists trash our Towns and Cities while our Govt are willing to sit back and watch it happen
France, Nice. Patriots on the march: "Touche pas a ma ville." [Don't touch my city]. Look at the difference. No looting. No smashed shop windows. No burned cars. Walking on the tram tracks, clapping, orderly. Police just watch. Last night in Nice the patriots won. They clashed with Antifa and Islamists. And they won.

Willy Field, now sadly no longer with us, was released from Dachau in April 1939 and reached Britain on an agricultural permit. Interned and shipped to Australia aboard the HMT Dunera, he later returned, joined the British Army and landed on D-Day with the 8th King’s Royal Irish Hussars. I have written his story in 'From Dachau to D-Day': amzn.to/3vXbRrM

Camden Council's planning enforcement investigation of a life-sized statue of Marwan Barghouti, following UKLFI's concerns, is receiving global attention.
A new life-size statue of convicted terrorist murderer Marwan Barghouti in central London has sparked outrage. On the roof of “‘Palestine’ House” in central London, the statue has become the subject of an official planning enforcement investigation by Camden Council. The investigation began after UK Lawyers for Israel (@UKLFI), an independent association of legal professionals, submitted formal representations to municipal authorities about the monument’s legal status and planning permissions. ☠️ Barghouti is serving five life sentences in an Israeli prison for murder of civilians. But even behind bars, Barghouti is still rewarded for his acts of violence, receiving a salary while from the ‘Palestinian’ Authority. Calculated through age 85, Barghouti will have received almost 1,000,000 dollars in salary from the ‘Palestinian’ Authority, whose budget is in part funded by taxpayer money from numerous democratic countries. • Barghouti was convicted in a criminal suit in Israeli district court on five separate counts of murder of innocent civilians. • Crimes orchestrated by Barghouti include: The murder of Greek monk Tsibouktsakis Germanus in Jerusalem on June 12, 2001; the murder of Yoela Hen in Jerusalem on January 15, 2002; and the murder of Eli Dahan, Yosef Habi, and Salim Barakat in Tel Aviv on March 5, 2002. • Barghouti was the founder and senior official of the designated terrorist group Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, which was responsible for massacring dozens of Israelis in suicide bombings and shooting attacks during the Second Intifada (2001-2005). • Barghouti also served as the head of the Tanzim, an armed faction in Fatah that carried out attacks on Israeli civilians during the Second Intifada. • During his trials, Barghouti showed no remorse for the murders he committed.

That is magnificent, and the addition of the Chaplin (not doubt to offer last rights when required), is the pinnacle.
An oldie but a goodie. In 1968 a bunch of entitled hippy bastards sent a letter detailing their specious demands to the Warden and Fellows of Wadham College, Oxford. This was their letter of reply, which speaks to how far the academy has since fallen.

The Royal Navy lost over 1,300 men in one night. 👑 ⚓🇬🇧 To a question. ❓ Where exactly are we? 🌊 Parliament offered £20,000 to anyone who could answer it. Millions in today's money. 💰 Even Isaac Newton doubted it could be done. 🧠 Then, in a Lincolnshire village, a young carpenter started building clocks. 🔨 No title. No university. No fortune. What happened next took forty years. ⏳ They teach you Isaac Newton. They rarely teach you John Harrison. 🇬🇧 Be part of us. ☝️🇬🇧 Be Proud Of Us. 🙏🇬🇧

Today aviation lovers attended the spectacular release of around 50,000 poppies from the wings of Lancaster bomber NX611 ‘Just Jane’ launching this year’s Lincolnshire’s poppy appeal. RAF Bomber Command suffered 55,573 killed out of roughly 125,000 aircrew who served during World War 2, representing a 44.4% death rate (the highest attrition rate of any major Allied unit) What a salute to their fallen! They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning They will remember them 🇬🇧

Today in 1415, an English army led by Henry V defeats a much larger French force near Calais at Azincourt (or Agincourt). A play by Shakespeare will later immortalize the battle: "Gentlemen in England shall think themselves accursed they were not here."
