In #ky06, I'm most waiting on these precincts in Fayette County that had the biggest swings from Beshear '03 to Barr '04

Southwest DC: Use Caution. Repeat, use caution--this quadrant is mostly brutalist co-ops and government buildings. Unless you're going home, to work, or the Wharf, you have no good reason to be here. Use caution.
Everyone probably knows I love to hate bad AI maps of D.C. Well, this one has “recommended” and “not recommended” zones; the latter includes Trinidad, U Street, and all of Southwest and Southeast. Oh, and did you know Anacostia is across the street from the U.S. Capitol?

This. Cenk is a festering carbuncle on the backside of Democratic politics. I don't agree with AES on a lot of Israel-focused policy, but he absolutely must win this race.
This senate seat is crucial to stopping Trump. Abdul is working hard to bridge divisions and build a diverse, winning coalition. This doesn’t help him do that. Not one damn iota. We are on the eve of an election with serious consequences for both Muslim and Jewish communities. We need leadership that finds common ground and brings people together. Pouring gasoline on those divisions makes his job harder. If you truly want to help Abdul, stop making his race about your fights. Let him run it.

Rabbi Hannah is not only a gem of our community, she performed my eldest daughter's Bat Mitzvah. She was arrested for performing a tenet of Judaism, Tikkun Olam (repairing the world). Jerusalem has lost the plot.
I’ve just learned @bradlander is the second person I know on that bus. My own congregation’s rabbi, wonderful Rabbi Hannah of DC’s Hill Havurah—who told us about this trip during Yom Kippur services—has also been detained as part of this peace-seeking mission. Godspeed to them.

The term "shylock" was said by the President of the United States, but he's not mentioned here because we don't, apparently, go hard after right wing antisemites anymore as long as they support Bibi-ism. This is the perfect example of why the left Jewish community is upset by our communal organizations.
The term “Shylock” is rooted in a longstanding antisemitic stereotype. Regardless of intent, its use can reinforce harmful tropes about Jews and normalize language that has long been used to target the Jewish community.

The Torah commands that when a foreigner resides with you in your land, we do not mistreat them. AES isn't even a foreigner--he was born in Rochester Hills, MI, and yet so many of these attacks read like boilerplate antisemitism, just with Islam swapped in for Judaism.
Unless Abdul El-Sayed can unequivocally condemn the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Hezbollah, SJP, the IRGC, and Hasan Piker, Barack Obama should absolutely not campaign with him. I understand and support the drive to win majorities in Congress, but we Democrats will be doing immeasurable harm to ourselves if we drop all standards and violate our best principles in pursuit of that goal.

If you're eager for a world in which Kfir Bibas and Hind Rajab were likelier to meet on a playground than in the afterlife, I can't recommend avoiding social media highly enough today.

In a week where leftists have unleashed semi-lucid hate toward Zohran Mamdani, Abdul El-Sayed, and now Mehdi Hassan for failing their purity test horseshit, it’s abundantly clear why the @SarahLongwell25 crowd gets so much more credit from normie Dems. teapawt.org/fullslack_/status/2107…
The Bulwark is being boosted by the Dem establishment & media in an attempt to shift the Dem voter base toward the right during a time where they see the rapid rise in the public's positive perception of socialism. Don't fall for it. Reject these Never Trump Republicans.

This is a gut punch. Dukem and the lamentably long gone Etete did a lot of the heavy lifting in putting DC's Ethiopian restaurant scene on the map.
DC Ethiopian restaurant Dukem is closing after nearly 30 years

We're getting awfully close to the Days of Awe, which are Judaism's holiest days of the calendar. As we approach the High Holidays, I hope we remember that when the forces behind these kinds of attacks are done with Muslims in the US, we're next.
As the nation prepares to mark 25 years since Sept. 11, 2001, Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate in Michigan, may be facing the risk of renewed scrutiny and fresh political attack. cbsn.ws/4ycfaWy

We can oppose Trump for the 99% of other things he does, acknowledge that the process for this event could be improved, and still think this a race like this is a net positive for the District...and would be even better if it was an F1 race. I will die on this hill.

In which I invite Rhett Lashlee to help himself to some Taco Bell lettuce.
SMU's Rhett Lashlee congratulates Duke on winning last year's ACC title: "When you win the ACC, they should have been in the playoffs instead of a team from the Sun Belt. Hopefully that doesn't happen again"

I had the most vivid nightmare last night. Get this--I dreamt that the vaunted Celtics front office traded away a 29-yo generational talent for the corpse of a former star and some punctured basketballs. Wild, right?

There may come a day where this trade makes sense to me, but it sure as shit won’t be today.
BLOCKBUSTER: The Boston Celtics have agreed to trade Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers for Paul George, two first-round picks and two second-round picks, sources tell ESPN.

We believe in a politics of persuasion and believe Americans can disagree without division. Your platform is huge! But it leverages division for profit. As I said originally, I’m happy to do a public Zoom with you or @ahSHEEK for a good faith discussion. - @FelixFrisch6
you cant "platform" someone that has a bigger platform than you. im sure josh gottheimer would appreciate teaching a bunch of young radicals a lesson in "electability" and the importance of moderation
