🇯🇵 Japanese voice actress and idol Hazuki Tanda is in trouble and many non-Japanese are calling her "racist" because of her black sheep costume. She's also holding a banana.
This is crazy. It's just a costume. We in Japan do not care. People will have to get over it.

1. Make a movie called Resident Evil.
2. Movie has almost no connection to Resident Evil.
3. Get angry when fans call out movie for having almost no connection to Resident Evil.
Modern filmmaking, everyone.
Zach Cregger says he was frustrated with the reaction to his Resident Evil movie because people spent too much time arguing about how different it was from the games.
“I was frustrated at the conversation around Resident Evil and how much of the conversation really didn’t have anything to do with the movie.”
People kept focusing on missing characters, changes to the lore and why the film wasn’t closer to the original games.
Cregger wanted to capture what it feels like to play Resident Evil rather than just copy the games’ story and characters.
He’s still proud of the movie, though, and says he made exactly the film he wanted.
