🇮🇳 In an interactive dialogue at the United Nations in New York, I had the privilege of participating and putting forth some critical perspectives. I highlighted the need to ensure that persons with disabilities are protected, included and empowered, especially during humanitarian crises and disasters.
India believes that persons with disabilities must have equal rights, a voice in decision-making and access to support when crises strike. India has been at the forefront of inclusive reforms and successfully shifted the focus from welfare to rights, from protection to participation and from service delivery to empowerment.

Similarly, to preserve India’s diverse languages, it is important to build their corpus on AI platforms and ensure their palpable presence in the AI ecosystem. – at Noida, India
AI in education, digital content in Indian languages and the role of emerging technologies in higher education.
Prof Nani Gopal Mahanta, Vice-Chancellor of Gauhati University, highlighted these key areas at the National Faculty Development Programme on Integrating Generative AI, Interactive e-Contents & Advanced Technologies in Higher Education, organised by NIEPA, New Delhi.
His address touched upon the growing relevance of AI in teaching and learning, the need to strengthen the digital ecosystem for Indian languages and the possibilities of using new technologies for content creation and data analysis in higher education.
