Our November voter guide is live!
The ballot is long and confusing, and there’s a lot on the line for San Francisco. We sent questionnaires to every candidate and researched each ballot measure in depth.

SF wants to take over PG&E’s power grid, saying it can improve service and lower bills.
But PG&E says it could cost over $20 billion, and while they have reason to inflate that price, we still don’t know the real cost or how the city would run the grid.

We endorse Darshini Patel for District 8 Supervisor. She’s outcome-driven, reads the research, and thoughtfully engages on complex issues. She’s strongly pro-housing and will fight for more shelter and drug treatment facilities that the city needs.

We’re voting on a lot this election. But four propositions stand out because their impact could last for decades.
Props A, D, E, and F would reform San Francisco’s charter and change how City Hall works.

How do we shut down SF's drug market? Start with the data.
Five years ago, drug-dealing arrests hit a low: 1,780 a year.
Three years ago, the city launched the Drug Market Agency Coordination Center, uniting public health and public safety for the first time. Arrests spiked to 3,223 under then-Commander, now Chief, Lew. Convictions tripled from 16% to 46% under DA Jenkins.
It worked. The market shrank. Daytime dealing is gone.
So what's stopping us from finishing the job? Adaptation.
First, fewer dealers are left (good news!), with 1,948 arrested last year. But the ones who remain are harder to catch. They've switched from open dealing to drops and moved to nighttime, when police are stretched thin.
Second, judges keep letting them go. Of 1,172 pending dealing cases last year, only 10% were held pre-trial. Over 1,000 dealers went right back to the street.
To shut it down for good, we need to:
1. Put more police on the street at night
2. Launch a drug market intervention strategy that pairs prevention with enforcement
3. Hold judges accountable for releasing fentanyl dealers pre-trial
4. Change state law to treat fentanyl dealing as the deadly crime it is

I’m a SF native who’ll ensure D10 gets the same investment as the rest of the City.

Noe Valley will welcome a new public Mandarin immersion school in 2027.
Giving parents more choices to find a great school is good for kids and helps keep families in San Francisco.

SF's retail rules make chain stores get special permission to open. That means empty storefronts stay empty longer.
Supervisor @bilalmahmood wants to cut the red tape and let grocery stores and pharmacies skip that step when they replace another chain.

Connie Chan opposed housing. Opposed transit. Opposed public safety measures. Opposed the school board recall. Opposed outdoor dining. Even opposed a ferris wheel.
What has she actually done as supervisor besides say no?

Good news for California voters: mail-in voting is not changing for November.
The Supreme Court blocked new Trump administration rules that would have made last-minute changes to how mail ballots work.
Thank you to California Attorney General Rob Bonta who helped lead the lawsuit that stopped these changes.

SFUSD is rethinking how elementary school assignment works, with changes that could affect your child's commute and access to school programs.
The district is asking for feedback now. Fill out the survey and tell SFUSD what your family needs from the new system by September 30.
