Spent the evening with @flbc_edu students at our version of Midnight Madness for @FLBCathletics .
Our students are a special group. Amazing young people. It's not lost on me what a great job I have.
Game Too!
Power of the sun ☀️ and forces of the moon 🌙
The Rays and Brewers continue their quest in World Series Game 2!

ALT Game 2 matchup graphic inspired by the “Twitches Too” movie poster. Left: Cutout of Drew Rasmussen's headshot from media day. He wears a white Rays jersey and blue cap. Right: Cutout of Brice Turang's headshot from media day. He wears a white Brewers jersey and blue cap. “Game Too” appears in bold font on top of a cloudy dark blue sky. A crescent moon is highlighted along the curve of the “G” and a sun replaces the first “O” of “Too” American Family Field is in the background, with a magical burst of light in the middle of Rasmussen and Turang.
This is amazing. Classy move by Yelich. One of my favorite non-Twins/Cardinals of all time.
Christian Yelich personally invited 98- and 102-year-old WWII veterans Bill Wattleton and Sverre Vinje to Game 1 of the World Series. They were able to meet Christian’s mom Alecia, former Brewer All-Star Chris Capuano, and witness the Brewers win a World Series game in person. Thank you, Christian, for providing this incredible experience for two American heroes. ❤️

Dudes rock.
Me: so how are things going with your class? Any drama? Everyone getting along?
Middle school daughter: oh, we’re great. I’ve actually gotten to know a lot of the girls better.
Me: that’s good.
Her: I just wish I could hang out with the guys more, without everyone making it weird.
Me: that’s middle school for you, I guess. But you have the girls. You get along with them too. You have good friends!
Her: but I wish I could hang out with the boys more too.
Me: why is that?
Her: the girls just talk about sports and stuff.
Me: um, then what do the boys talk about?
Her: they talk about sports too, but in a stupid way, and it’s funny.
