A brutal night for #Tulane just got worse when Jaylin Lucas muffed a bouncing punt and failed to recover it on his first opportunity. Wave's fifth turnover hands ball to UTSA at Tulane 17 with 35-13 lead at 12:13 mark of fourth quarter.

#Tulane just beaten down on that touchdown drive, giving up first downs on runs on third-and-3 and third-and-six before allowing 5-yard TD up the middle on third-and-goal. UTSA leads 35-13.

Official attendance for #Tulane-UTSA is 19,015. That's the lowest total for a game at Yulman Stadium since 14,193 showed up for game vs. ECU in 2022.

After #Tulane declines holding penalty that would have made it first-and-25, UTSA completes 16-yard pass for first down.

It goes from bad to worse on #Tulane's next series, a 3-and-out that ends in first sack of Trace Johnson. Defense will have to come up with stop here.

Worst possible start to the second half for #Tulane. False start penalty puts opening possession behind the chains and Trace Johnson hit on third-down pass. UTSA then cruises 72 yards for TD, with key play a blitz-beating 22-yard pass on third down. Wave trails 28-13.

On the flip side, #Tulane finished with 1 rushing yard. It was pass or nothing in the first half.

#Tulane's Trace Johnson is 15 of 24 for 196 yards at halftime. That puts him on pace for 392 yards. Obviously this is a big-time projection, but the last time a Wave quarterback threw for more was Michael Pratt (394) in the 2022 American championship game vs. UCF.

Anthony Rogers' second interception on a terrible decision by Owen McCown kept UTSA from scoring late points and allowed #Tulane to get in position for a 33-yard field goal on last play of first half. Wave trails 21-13 and will get ball to start third quarter.

No turnovers, but two dropped passes kill that #Tulane drive. Wave settles for 38-yard field goal by Cooper Helmke and trails 21-10 with 1:38 left. Wave will get ball to start second half but will need to come up with stop here.

Fantastic improvising by Trace Johnson, avoiding sack and finding tight end Cam Roberts for 14-yard gain to UTSA 25 with 1:55 left. Johnson has been very sharp. Offense has been done in by three fumbles, one of which was his fault. #Tulane TD before half would be huge.

#Tulane is self-destructing on offense. Three turnovers on consecutive series and UTSA take 21-7 lead with 4:23 left in the first half.

Good pressure by Ed Smith, good coverage by Kajuan Banks forces incompletion on third-and-2 and #Tulane forces 3 and out after turnover.

#Tulane sells out inside on third-and-2 and A'Marion Peterson has walk-in TD from 16 yards out as he runs to his right with no defender in sight. Wave trails 14-7 after leading by seven 5 seconds into the game.

Terrible option pitch by Trace Johnson to Jamauri McClure results in fumble that UTSA recovers 22 yards behind the line of scrimmage. Promising #Tulane drive ends and Roadrunners take over at own 44.

Looks like Bredell Richardson made maybe the best catch in the history of Yulman Stadium. Play was reviewed but he got foot inbounds while making 1-handed catch on the run at the UTSA 23.
