The Fruit Fly can play axle on controller I trained all 166,700 neurons in the MaleCNS v1.0 fruit fly connectome to play Axle in Apex Legends, using YOLOv5 plus video pretraining. With aim assist enabled, most of the neurons were unnecessary. #ApexLegends

It's not milsim enough to completely turn me off the game, but also not arcade enough that it feels like every other game. The gamemode is a blast when everyone is actually contesting the hotzone.

This DLSS 5 AI dogshit is actually depressing man. Even worse is that a whole generation is growing up who won't even know this looks 'bad' or 'wrong' because to them it'll be normal. We need to push back harder against it.

Seeing it get torpedoed by ignorant, greedy executives was the lowest point of my casting career. It was the beginning of the end for me too if I'm honest. I still loved casting, but I didn't believe in the esports dream anymore. Everyone should hear Jeff's perspective too!

This whole interview is great, but I feel like I should just leave this timestamp here - youtu.be/H9rF1CSSh-w Overwatch League could have been what we all were trying to make it - a force that pushed esports forward in the right ways. 1/2

I'm about halfway through listening to this and it already feels like one of the best things I've ever spent my time doing.
Here's my conversation with Jeff Kaplan, a legendary Blizzard game designer of World of Warcraft and Overwatch, which are two of the biggest, most influential games ever made. Jeff is one of the most genuine & awesome human beings I've ever met: kind, thoughtful, hilarious, and still & forever a gamer through and through. This was a truly fun & inspiring conversation. We talk about it all: the lows, the highs, the memes, the details of the game design process, and the new game he's been secretely working on: The Legend of California. I got a chance to play the game with Jeff, and it's incredibly beautiful (and fun). You can wishlist it on Steam now. I can't wait to play it with all of you! Conversation is here on X in full and is up everywhere else (see comment). i feel like i sound like a conspiracy theorist or an asshole whenever i talk about Netflix making second screen content but its REAL and they’re not quiet about it.

every couple months someone posts an epic Quake video asking why it's not more popular so I need everyone to understand: it is the fault of id software and Bethesda. ultimately they are responsible for the death of my love and the greatest FPS of all time teapawt.org/BalanceBF/status/20067…

The Stranger Things finale, while fine, mostly just reminded me how good Dark is and how vital it is to any story that you plan it out ahead of time and not lay down track ahead of the train.
