Working in a school can be tough. Going through perimenopause and menopause is tough. When the too collide, it can get pretty crazy. Let me give you some examples.
- Unpredictable menstrual bleeding and bladder issues when it's difficult to get time to go to the loo.
- Memory issues when there's so much to remember - including all the names!
- Mood swings, when it's your job to manage the all the difficult emotions your job throws up.
- Things like hot flushes and memory glitches happening when there are 60 very observant eyes on you.
- The aches and pains in a job where you're always moving, carrying things, sorting things and using your body to connect and communicate.
So often we push through those things - but at the cost of our own health and wellbeing.
School staff going through perimenopause and menopause need to be supported.
That's what I do - through talks, workshops, manager training, menopause champion training, menopause mentoring, menopause audits and policy support.
Drop me a message!
Tried to get a @CooperativeBank account. The tool for verifying my passport doesn't work. Waiting times to talk to someone to book an appointment for support are over 20 minutes.
Do you actually want customers?

We break bones at an alarming rate as we get older - and a broken bone can have knock on effects on our overall health and fitness, our mental wellbeing and our work. Bone loss starts in perimenopause - it doesn't just happen to 'old ladies'.

2/3 You've forgotten what you've just said. And for a fraction of a second you forgot where you were.
That's your fluctuating hormones playing games with your brain. It's not dementia. It is made worse by stress and fatigue - and the worse thing you can do is panic.
