Why don’t cells store glucose as fat instead of glycogen? All of this is because of the metabolic magic our bodies perform all of the time. Think of it as: Glucose in the blood = food on the table! Glycogen = food in the fridge! Fat = food in the freezer! Marvelous, ain’t it!?!
