One of the main reasons #mufc have decided to keep Michael Carrick is financial.

Manchester United rank 20th in the Premier League for our Athleticism Score this season, with the squad profile split in two.
Their wingers and most of their full-backs score highly, but down the spine their athleticism drops sharply.
Athleticism Score compares each player’s physical output per 90 with others in the same position, on a 0 to 100 scale, so 50 is average for the role.
That squad makeup may shape how Carrick sets up. A slower centre-back pairing makes a high line risky, and a less mobile midfield makes sustained pressing harder.
It shows in the physical data. Total distance doesn’t predict results, but United’s intensity in the Premier League is low: they rank 18th for high-speed running distance, 16th for sprinting distance and 20th for average max speed.

I think this is why he’s looking to go back to Spain because his work, consistency is grossly undervalued in England by the media
Only us Arsenal fans recognise what he’s been doing esp in the last 12 months even Haaland is underrated now
Unai Simon has won the Men's Goalkeeper of the Year award for 2026.
He beat his compatriot, David Raya, to the prize thanks to his efforts with Spain at the World Cup.
But Simon made a total of nine saves in eight games, which — as a body of work — surely does not outshine Raya's season for Arsenal.

I thought it was banter @ 1st that they couldn't afford to sack him but damn
Michael Carrick will be given more time to turn Manchester United's fortunes around after a meeting of the club's hierarchy on Monday.
Carrick's position as head coach appeared under serious threat following Sunday's 3-0 defeat at home to Bournemouth, a result which left United 16th and without a win in their last eight matches in all competitions.
However, following talks on Monday between the club's senior leadership figures, including co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, CEO Omar Berrada and director of football Jason Wilcox, the decision has been made to give Carrick and the players more time.

We've known this 😂
We've scored 1 set piece and are being called a set piece team.
Weve put up 2xG in most games this season and are called a defensive team.
We're not here for your adulation. We're here to take over.

“Gaza is still a nightmare for children. Many are so traumatized they can no longer eat, sleep or even speak.”

Hate to break it to you (I don’t)
But if you’re mocking Saka winning a Humanitarian award, you are the utter definition of a loser
Firm believer timing is key in life, his timing when changing clubs has been shit
17-18 he should've stayed @ Monaco for 1 more ssn, then go to Madrid when Ronaldo left
2021 summer he could've pushed hard for his move to Madrid and 2024 finally goes to Madrid + unbalances them
It's a popularity contest and Arsenal aren't popular because we're no longer a punching bag, you just have to call a spade a spade
No one likes to see Arsenal be competitive
