Some details from “Anatta” A part of @AdamWeitsman ‘s legendary collection🏆
I’m honored to announce that “Anatta” has been acquired by the one and only, @AdamWeitsman 🏆 This painting is a part of my newest body of work, that transcends beyond a collection, but marks a new era of my practice. This is the culmination of all of the styles I’ve been developing through the course of my career. This painting was created over 8 months, a perfect balance of form and formlessness. “Anatta” translates directly to ‘non-self’ ,in Sanskrit, one of the 3 fundamental truths in Buddhist philosophy. This work represents the dissolution of the illusion of separateness and the shedding of the ego. I couldn’t think of a better home and steward for this piece. Thank you for believing in me and my work Adam, the light in me recognizes the light in you, and I’m forever grateful for your love and support.

Collected before the first brushstroke. Watch Nishant (@egodead) create his latest painting, "A Life Scrolled Past," live during L8 Night in Marfa. Thank you to @justinaversano, who purchased it before it was painted, placing his trust in Nishant before knowing what the finished work would look like. Justin collected work from so many artists throughout the weekend. That willingness to support artists and trust their vision is what makes him such a valued patron in this space.

Replying to @LevinLevin__
True collectors want to custody art for the next generation, that is what I will call a purist. Some good collectors will flip if profit and price align and it’s good for both them and to elevate the artist (they don’t sell at a loss) but they are not driven by speculation only. “Flippers” will buy whatever they think will pump and will sell, frequently at a loss and deteriorate both the value of the artists work and the value of their entire ecosystem. They are driven solely by speculation and don’t realize their actions are primarily the reason we have stagnated and cannot grow and why they will perpetually lose money. These last ones are not collectors, they are morons.

Had the most incredible week. My heart is so full, got to hang out with some of my favorite people, exhibit my work amongst legends, eat delicious sandwiches, all while feeling the love of this massive family in the middle of the desert. Feeling very confident in the future of our space, the strength of our community, and in the growth of my practice. I couldn’t be more grateful rn— I have some truly insane announcements on the horizon — stay tuned Thank you Marfa and a special thanks to all of those who make me feel at home, y’all know who you are🫶🏾🌵🫂

to the @opeansea team and @dfinzer: please reconsider how opensea values onchain art. the highest available offer tells us what someone is willing to pay now. that is useful information, but for an artwork that trades infrequently, it is a limited basis for valuation. a collection-wide offer also tells us little about the value of a particular work. consider giving collectors a choice: a toggle between a valuation based on collection offers and an alternative estimate, with the methodology clearly disclosed. that estimate could draw on a combination of indicators: the work’s last sale, recent sales within the same series, current offers & asking prices, with weights that account for how recent & reliable those metrics are. the goal is not to inflate portfolio values or promise a sale at an estimated price, but to give collectors a more credible account of what they hold. thank you for reading.

I’m honored to announce that @justinaversano has collected my painting “A Life Scrolled Past” in Marfa that I painted live in Marfa at the @8NAP_ART house, curated by @SteveMiller 🏆🌵 One of the aspects that blows my mind is this piece was actually secured by Justin before I had even started it. Simply from the title and the intention that I had discussed with him prior to the exhibition, Justin knew he wanted to add it to his @fndzionaversano collection instantly and trusted my vision to shape the work.
