Re: MH370 - 63 Reasons for Denial
MH370 should probably be called the World's great aviation Denial (not Mystery). Below I list 63 reasons for Denial that I have documented since 2018. Proviso: By no means, do I claim this list is yet complete.

Re: TWA800- The "Pierre Salinger Syndrome"
On social media, many folks seem to be fervently devoting their lives to promoting lies and falsehoods. Pierre Salinger is one early example, because he swallowed, hook-line-and sinker, internet conspiracy theories about the crash of TWA800 in July 1996. He got a syndrome named after him.
The "Pierre Salinger Syndrome" is a derisive term for the tendency to gullibly believe and spread unverified online gossip, fake news, or internet hoaxes under the assumption that anything published on the web is factual.
I am thinking the motives are complex. In Salinger's case, I imagine he felt that accusing authorities of cover-up would catalyze the authorities to fess-up. But the opposite happened, Salinger got called "crazy". Next, presumably, the logic flaw known as the Backfire Effect took hold, and Pierre continued trying to defend his TWA-800 accusations. He left USA for France when republican Bush was elected President.
From Google AI:
Pierre Salinger was convinced that TWA Flight 800 was brought down by a U.S. Navy missile because he placed implicit trust in what he believed was a highly classified intelligence document and radar imagery. [1, 2, 3]
The primary factors that fueled his unshakeable belief include:
(1) The "Secret" Document: In November 1996, Salinger announced he had received an "exclusive" document from a source in French intelligence. The document claimed that a U.S. military vessel accidentally shot down the plane during a top-secret Navy exercise and that the government was covering it up. However, it was quickly revealed that Salinger's "secret" document was actually a copy of a widely circulated, unverified internet chain email written months earlier by a retired airline pilot named Richard Russell. [1, 2, 3]
Note: Richard Russel was a vocal, senior commercial pilot who was adamant in disbelief of NTSB's finding that the 747 fuel tank exploded due a combustible air/fuel mixture in the empty center wing fuel tank.
(2) Misinterpreted Radar Images: In March 1997, Salinger doubled down by presenting radar blips from JFK International Airport air traffic control tapes. He claimed the images showed a second object ("a blip") rapidly approaching Flight 800. Federal investigators and independent radar experts reviewed the exact same data and found absolutely no evidence of a missile, noting that a real missile would travel far too fast for that type of airport radar to pick up. [1, 2, 3]
(3) Media Coverage and Eyewitnesses: Salinger noted that immediately after the crash, numerous television broadcasts discussed the missile theory, and more than 100 eyewitnesses reported seeing streaks of light in the sky. He believed the FBI later forced networks to bury these stories. [1, 2]
Salinger’s public prestige as President Kennedy's former press secretary and a veteran ABC News correspondent initially gave the conspiracy theory immense mainstream traction. Because he fell victim to an online hoax, his name gave rise to the term "Pierre Salinger Syndrome"—used by journalists and investigators to describe the act of believing unverified internet rumors as absolute truth. Official investigations eventually concluded the crash was caused by a fuel tank explosion triggered by a mechanical short circuit. [1, 2, 3]
(Parenthetically, Salinger also lost some credibility re: the Pan Am 103 bombing because he was in denial of the Libya connection)

Re: Pilot Mental Health/Capt Steeeve
I'd like to highlight this recent YouTube discussion regarding definite progress by U.S. Congress and Airlines to address pilot mental health. Sort of Yikes! (lots of cases) but sounds like we are making progress in USA. But, to me, we (USA) have a global problem because we sell our Boeings to cultures which militantly deny the issue. Air India, Malaysia MH370, SilkAir, EgyptAir, ChinaEastern all apparent pilot s-word facing intense denial from public/aviation sources. All Boeings. I noted they say here they the airlines are light-years ahead of FAA, implying FAA in slo-mo.

Yikes! but it sounds like USA making progress. I noted the guy says the airlines are light-yrs ahead of FAA. The concern I would have, some cases are more protest than mental health. But overall I contend the problem may be worse in non-Western world which culturally denies the issue, even when it happens (blame Boeing instead etc).

Re: Air India #171 Report
YouTuber pilot "CockpitConfession" from India feels the AI#171 report not coming out anytime soon. Oct_2026 was only an internal deadline for draft. Expect 2027 (maybe?) report release.

Re: MH370- Byron probably mostly correct
As a fellow concerned citizen, I would say Byron here may well be fundamentally almost 100% correct, but he was outvoted by the Australian aviation community who adopted a denial stance of FBI and deliberate flight to the end. The correct investigation approach would have been NTSB/FBI from the outset until today.
Failing that we are getting bias and adversarial attack of folks like Byron, not just from Malaysia, but from many in aviation community and the wishful thinking woke public who would prefer to deny pilot s-word.
Byron getting closer to the absolute truth, but with minor inconsistencies. He is split on where the crash is located: either too far West or FBI flight path from simulator or WSPR. I suggest FBI is correct but "we" (the big we) are not interested in that.
MH370 probably will never be found. There is no pinpoint answer because we do not know where it went after Arc7.

Re: UK Psychiatrist-Pilot Suicide
Doc tries to say, "lone wolf" cause is mental health + often a gripe. Somehow he fails to grasp much of world does not have suicide or mental health issues. In those countries, surrogate accident cause must be chosen.
