I am not big on “movies about movies”, but One Cut of the Dead may be the best one. It’s fun and shows how even though everything can go wrong on a movie, it still is one of the best experiences you can have.
Part of me wishes I never partook of wacky toebacky before watching this shit.

The genius of this opening is how Tobe Hooper presents fiction as documented tragedy. John Larroquette's dead-serious narration puts the hooks in you while Hooper assaults your eyes with grotesque imagery.
Before the story even starts, he's already convinced you the nightmare is real.
