FEENY still knows best! 🍎
We are now 3 WEEKS AWAY from the U.S. Midterm election and my dear friend & longtime beloved actor @MrBillDaniels is still giving out BOY MEETS WORLD “Mr. Feeny”-like wisdom at 99 years young, reminding us to VOTE and VOTE EARLY, when possible. 🗳️

It's been 28 years since Matthew Shepard was killed in a violent anti-LGBTQ hate crime.
I’m fighting to ban the bigoted 'panic' defense used by one of his killers from being used in federal court. I will always work to protect LGBTQ+ Americans from violence with my colleagues in the @EqualityCaucus.

Peggy Flanagan’s commitment to Minnesota and dedication to improving the lives of everyone around her is admirable — I offer her my wholehearted support.
Michele Tafoya is a threat to our democracy — it’s time for Minnesota to come together and keep this seat blue.

If you are interested in supporting the trans community or becoming more knowledgeable about how they are constantly under attack some of my favorite nonprofits that support trans lives are the ACLU and the Human Rights Campaign. Please educate yourself. Our country deserves it.

There’s nothing more American than freedom and equality for all. I still remember what it was like serving as a lesbian in the military under “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” — fighting for my country overseas, while not having equal freedoms back home.
While I’m proud of how far we’ve come as a nation, we still have further to go. @HRC was a champion then as it is now for the LGBTQ+ community, and I’m honored to have their support in this race.

If you're tired of conspiracy theories, broken promises, and constant distractions instead of solutions, then welcome to our coalition!
We might not agree on every single issue, but we agree on the big things: lower costs, no dumb wars, and fewer breathless conspiracy rants.

The CHIPS Act funds the production of chips using leading-edge **transistors**
And now you can probably figure out why he thinks these companies needed transgender people to qualify.
We are truly living in the dumbest of times.

Trump on the CHIPS Act: "If you weren't transgender, you didn't qualify. So they'd get the money, they'd look all over for transgender people to run the company."
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The CHIPS and Science Act does not require companies to hire transgender individuals or have them run the company to qualify for funding. govinfo.gov/content/pkg/PL… orrick.com/en/Insights/20…

Following a powerful discussion with Members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Chairman @repespaillat and @HRC President @KelleyJRobinson reflect on what Pride means to them and why the fight for dignity, visibility, and justice continues.

I asked Kelley Robinson where it began. She took me to her grandfather, a Black man in Jim Crow America fighting for freedoms he knew he'd never have at home. Two generations later, she leads the Human Rights Campaign: youtu.be/avThW-ZGUII

Idiotic.
"transgenic mice" are mice w/ altered genes used to study cancer & other conditions. They are not "transgender" mice.
But tell me again which party is obsessed with making everything about trans people?

1. Insane that a political party is genuinely super sad they can't take rights AWAY from a community of people
2. Their failures are not an accident. @EqualityCaucus, @HRC and partners work hard every day to defeat these cynical anti-trans provisions
Hard-liners balk at GOP’s failure to enshrine anti-transgender laws dlvr.it/TSpmB7

Pam Bondi is a corrupt swamp creature. She tried to use the murder of our friends at Pulse Nightclub to sanitize her record. She sold her soul for this morally bankrupt president over and over again.
Pam Bondi is having the kind of day she deserves. Goodbye.

.@jamestalarico: I've had a lot of interviews with national media. No one's ever asked me about the cost of housing. No one's asked me about the cost of prescription drugs. The only thing the media wants to ask me about are trans athletes.
The only minority destroying this country is the billionaires. Trans people are 1% of the population. Undocumented people are 1% of the population. We are all focused on the wrong 1%.
Trans people aren't taking away our healthcare. Undocumented people aren't defunding our schools. It's the billionaires and their puppet politicians

Donald Trump is DESPERATELY trying to stack the federal government with unqualified loyalists — at the cost of the American people.
This nomination is shameful.
