🚩BMI may tell us more about future #AFib risk than systemic inflammation alone.
In ~16,000 UK Biobank participants, higher BMI was associated with larger LA volume and a 23% higher risk of incident AF, while CRP and HbA1c were not independently associated with AF.

🚩One atrial impulse → two ventricular responses? ⚡
This @HRS_O2Journal Fellows Corner highlights the rare coexistence of a double ventricular response (“double fire”) and typical AVNRT, both arising from dual AV nodal physiology.
The key? Slow pathway ablation eliminated both.

⚡ Can the ECG predict response to stellate ganglion blockade in electrical storm?
Despite clinical suppression of VT/VF, standard 12-lead ECG intervals did not meaningfully change after SGB.
📌 Surface ECG may not be a useful procedural biomarker
📌 Dynamic autonomic measures such as HRV may hold more promise

Can Bachmann bundle pacing be made simpler?
In this @HRO2 study, Yoshimoto et al. used a simple atrial electrogram amplitude–guided strategy to identify the SVC–RA junction and guide lead placement.
✅ BB pacing achieved in 88%
✅ Median mapping time ~2 min
✅ Stable lead parameters at 6 months
✅ No lead dislodgement or major device-related complications
A practical approach that may make physiologic atrial pacing more reproducible in everyday device implantation. #EPeeps
