In Little Engineers club yesterday, we got ready for our Fall Festival by trying to design a paper basket that would hold a lot of candy corn!
Students in Mrs. Oldford's class loved using the Makey Makey Interactive Poster app to code their emotions yesterday!
My Little Engineers explored gravity and force today my trying to design something to prevent an egg from cracking when it hit the ground. Messy learning is fun!
My Little Engineers Club tackled their first challenge yesterday- How to build the tallest tower using 100 cups! We learned a lot about stability and structural engineering and made connections to the real world.
Had so much fun exploring prime and composite numbers in Ms. Koutras’s class today. What great critical thinkers she has!
My first graders used the 3Doodler in their geometry unit to make bubble wands that integrated the shapes they learned. 🫧
Mrs. Wilson’s classroom was buzzing with excitement today as students learned how to build tracks and code a smart train using color snaps.
It was wonderful having a guest newscaster on HTV this morning. She was the highest bidder for the role in the silent auction earlier this month, and she did a great job! I look forward to having her on the crew when she gets to fifth grade!
Fifth graders learned conditional control structures with Intelino Scratch today by programming their train to change its light color and pause driving when different events happened. Maybe one day they will be programmers in our future smart cities. @csforlcps
💯 engagement with LEGO Spike kits in first grade today. “Wait, we get to code LEGOS to do stuff?!” 😲 Too cool!
Second graders were introduced to Intelino snap coding today and did some observing and problem solving. They had a lot of fun, and I can't wait to see them integrate this into their magnetism unit in Science.
First graders learned how to use Ozoblockly software to code Ozobot today. They tested their knowledge of Horizon while they made algorithms.
My ASEP club students learned to program Intelino trains with different snap commands yesterday and helped me debug my commands.
My K-2 Intelino Train Club started this week after school. Students had so much fun building tracks and figuring out what different snap codes do.
Ms. Kelly's students had so much fun with Bluebot this morning and are already asking for the robots to come back. @csforlcps
