Diolch yn fawr to everyone who attended my declaration ceremony on the 9th of April. I’m looking forward to my Shreival year and supporting communities across Gwent.
On Thursday evening I was delighted to be able to recognise the hard work of the Magistracy by awarding High Sheriff awards. HHJ Jonathan Holmes and HHJ Daniel Williams also attended to show their support.

I was pleased to meet Her Honour Helen Mifflin the High Sheriff of Gwent @HSGwent this morning. She has some fantastic plans for the role and it was great to talk about the importance of work experience and apprenticeships.

Great to meet the High Sheriff of Gwent, @HSGwent, Her Honour Helen Mifflin, and to discuss her work in focussing on opportunities for young people.
The third set of awards that I want to launch are the group volunteer award. These Awards are to recognise those organisations where the volunteers make a contribution as a whole.
