I'll start a little tracking project for this #GoHabsGo season.
I'll track every primary and secondary assist for every unblocked Habs shot attempt at 5v5, trying to bring in the "xAssists" and "xPoints" stats.
The goal is to track every game, but we'll see.
This might come in handy in the #GRITALYTICS context.
The #GoHabsGo against the 1C or the top line's main playdriver (Matthews, Crosby, Aho, O'Reilly, Larkin, Thompson, Strome, Celebrini) with and without Suzuki this season.
Interesting to see how much the bigger workload for the 2–4Cs will affect these numbers.
The #GoHabsGo without Nick Suzuki at 5v5 this far in 2026–27:
Shot attempts: 55.1% ✅
Unblocked shot attempts: 54.1% ✅
Unblocked shot attempts from the slot: 52.1% ✅
Shots: 52.6% ✅
Slot shots: 46.2% ❌
xGoals: 52.7% ✅
Goals: 37% ❌
Not bad, but how will the big minutes go?

(Way too) early 2026–27 Grit Score leaders.
The #GRITALYTICS cards will return later in the season, once the samples get big enough.
Before that, I might be able to bring in some historical cards (2007->) and maybe even career timelines.
Sure, Arber Xhekaj in the first 8 games of 2026–27 at 5v5
