Ghostty is now a non-profit project, fiscally sponsored by Hack Club. mitchellh.com/writing/ghostt… I view terminals as critical infrastructure that should be stewarded by a mission-driven, non-commercial entity that prioritizes public benefit over profit. Ghostty is now that.

We’ve done it! Check us out: github.com/hackclub/hcb. Taking a seven year old codebase and getting it ready to be public was a massive project.
Open sourcing HCB has been years in the making; today's the day: github.com/hackclub/hcb!

HackClub is a virtual bank for high schoolers to run hackathons–they fundraise and make purchases. Built on Ruby on Rails by a super cool team, incl many first-time Rubyists–high schoolers and students. And folks just open sourced it, wild!

The @hackclub community is reclaiming the hackathon and creating a new generation of events that are focused on play, creativity, low sponsor involvement (definitely no sponsor prizes), and pushing yourself technically!
