Apprentices are a crucial part of the #NHSLongTermWorkforcePlan and NHS England aims to triple the number being trained by 2030, so they make up more than one in five new recruits. Read about former greengrocer Steven's journey to becoming a nurse orlo.uk/YWJp4 #NAW2024

Early start for me this morning, on way to London. What better way for #NAW2024 Wednesday then a study day for my own #apprenticeship

NHS apprenticeships change the lives of those who undertake them. Steve went from being a greengrocer to a registered mental health nurse. One of many amazing stories of people who have gained #SkillsForLife through an NHS apprenticeship #NAW2024 #LTWP orlo.uk/V5ILg

The NHS can often feel like a family — and in this case, it is!
The NHS Long Term Workforce Plan is expanding nursing apprenticeships further to help improve access to nursing careers. This means more newly qualified nurses, like father and daughter duo Steven and Stevie-Leigh.
'I feel so lucky to share this experience with my dad.'
This father and daughter duo have just joined the NHS! Stevie-Leigh studied nursing at university, while Steven completed a nursing apprenticeship, to become registered mental health nurses for @WeAreLSCFT.
