Family, friends, and associates otherwise have since the first episode of Star Trek called me "Spock." That should say all I need to say here.

So I decided to catch myself up on what’s been happening in the wonderful world of UFOs, alien crash recoveries, and the never-ending march toward “disclosure.” A couple of hours later, even with the help of AI to sift through it all, I came to a remarkable conclusion. We’re exactly where we were 40 years ago. Proof of extraterrestrial spacecraft? Zero. Verified alien bodies or recovered technology? Zero. The evidence? Mostly “he said,” occasionally “she said,” and an endless parade of people who know someone who knows someone who supposedly saw something. But something HAS changed! The productions are more elaborate. The documentaries are slicker. The conferences are bigger. The marketing is world-class. And the sheer volume of monetized content, subscriptions, books, and merchandise has never been more impressive. The alien disclosure industry is thriving. The actual disclosure? Still missing. Meanwhile, the genuine search for extraterrestrial life continues, quietly and methodically, conducted by scientists using telescopes, spacecraft, laboratories, and the scientific method to investigate everything from our own solar system to distant worlds many light-years away. And here we are, on our little planet, tucked away in a quiet corner of the Milky Way, still waiting for someone to produce an actual alien. Apparently, disclosure has been “just around the corner” for 40 years. That’s one hell of a corner.

Yes, records show Gavin Newsom’s paternal line traces to William Newsom (c. 1648–1691) of Surry County, Virginia. His 1691 will bequeathed “several negroes” to his children, and 1675 tax lists confirm he owned slaves. Later generations moved to North Carolina, Indiana, then California.

"He didn't hit a homer in his last at-bat; He hit a single. He didn't hit in 56 straight games. He married his high school sweetheart, stayed married to her, never married a Marilyn Monroe. He didn't play with the sheer joy and style that goes alongside Willie Mays' name. None of those easy things are there to associate with Stan Musial. All Musial represents is more than two decades of sustained excellence and complete decency as a human being." Bob Costas. All men must learn to judge across their own ignorance. This art is not easily learned. Those who would practice it must develop intensity of perception & the habit of open concern for truth, in all of its forms. - JFK

Atheists sometimes tell me I have to choose between God and science. I do not, and neither do you. There is nothing anti-scientific about the idea that an all-powerful, transcendent super-intelligence created the universe and wrote its laws. In fact, it's far more believable to me that this is the explanation for our lawful, intelligible universe than the story I was expected to believe as an atheist - that the universe "just is" or that it's somehow lawful and intelligible despite having no intelligence or will behind it. But what about the big bang? Is that a problem for a Bible-believing Christian? Not at all. Leave aside the age issue - which is frankly the least explosive part of all this - and consider how modern science has caught up with the Genesis narrative in the last 100 years. Modern science has figured out that the universe isn't eternal, as people thought for thousands of years, but suddenly came into being a finite time ago just as Genesis 1:1 describes. I do not have to give up God to believe that. In fact, as a scientist, it's the only way I can make sense of why the universe exists at all and is the way it is. Don't let anyone tell you that you have to choose between God's two books - the Bible and his creation. They are wonderfully compatible.

This is exactly how anti-vaxxers manufacture misinformation. They take one tiny grain of truth, wrap it in an enormous wad of complete bullshit, and inject it straight into the veins of a conspiracy-addicted audience hungry for anything that confirms their beliefs. Here’s the grain of truth: Sweden awarded its 2027-2028 COVID vaccine contract to a protein-based vaccine, instead of the mRNA vaccine it’s primarily using for the current and prior seasons. Now here’s the bullshit: The claim that Sweden is abandoning mRNA technology because of autoimmune reactions, uncontrolled spike protein production, serious adverse effects, and deaths. What none of these anti-vaxxers will bother to read are the actual Swedish announcements and procurement documents. They say NOTHING of the sort. ALL of the bullshit you see on screen comes from the Dutch anti-vaccine website that took one legitimate fact, wrapped it in its own anti-mRNA propaganda, and packaged it for an audience of science deniers eager to swallow it whole. So what did Sweden actually do? It conducted a competitive procurement process that evaluated vaccines based on price and quality, specifically refrigerated shelf life. Those are the documented evaluation criteria, with absolutely no finding that mRNA vaccines were dangerous or responsible for the medical disasters alleged in this article. And here’s the particularly revealing part: Sweden’s official procurement system STILL lists Pfizer and Moderna as qualified suppliers for future COVID vaccine contracts. Sweden is also using Pfizer’s mRNA vaccine for its current vaccination campaign. So where exactly did the claims about autoimmune disease, uncontrollable spike proteins, and widespread vaccine injuries come from? The anti-vaccine website. Not Sweden. And that’s how this misinformation machine works. Start with a fact. Bury it under a mountain of bullshit. Present the whole package as an official revelation. Then watch thousands of people share it without ever checking what the original source actually said. They don’t need the story to be true. They just need their audience to believe it.

A very happy ending to what could’ve been a very sad and lonely story We didn't adopt him for him to live a long life. We adopted him so that he could find peace on his last day. Yes, it sounds a bit harsh... but that's the truth. His name is Calyx. He is a 15-year-old blue-gray Cane Corso. His eyes are a bit cloudy, he walks slowly, and his face carries the exhaustion of a long story told without words. He was labeled as "hospice foster" at the shelter. His previous family surrendered him because he "slept too much" and struggled to walk. So when we brought him home, we were mentally prepared to say goodbye. Every room had orthopedic beds. Ramps instead of stairs. Quiet evenings. Gentle mornings. We thought we were just giving an old dog a soft ending. But Calyx had other plans. In the first week — he just slept. That deep sleep that comes when fear finally ends. In the second week — something changed. He understood that he wouldn’t go back to the kennel. This isn’t a temporary place. This is home. In the third week, he found a stuffed toy. Not a new toy. Just a small, old plush. But for him, it became the most important thing in the world. And at that moment, the "dying" dog disappeared. The dog that "couldn’t walk" now proudly roams the house with a toy in his mouth. The dog that "slept too much" now wakes up early in the morning, bringing his toy like a trophy. And every night he sleeps with this toy — as if now he has something to protect. That’s when we understood something. Calyx wasn’t fading due to age. He was exhausted from loneliness. From cold floors. And from being abandoned. He is now 15 years old. Sometimes he sneaks pizza from the kitchen. He reaches the backyard door before I do. And that stuffed toy is still with him. We thought we were giving a senior dog a gentle goodbye. But in reality… Calyx reminded us that sometimes love doesn’t just provide comfort in life — sometimes it brings it back. 🐾❤️

From Andy Watkisson: Andy Watkinson @AndyWatk · Oct 23 Replying to @Hal1030380 and @jeremyfaust Were you even a smidgeon as intelligent as you purport to be, you would already know that your rather childish invitation to ‘have some fun’ is of no interest to me or anyone else But you aren’t. You’ve already demonstrated that. I do hope everyone here will do what they can to see how smart - or dumb - I am. I need my fun, and at my age, that's about all I can do.
