One kitty flies tomorrow from DCA after a vet visit to say, "Goodbye." I am always thankful for cabin crew who treat my ticketed passengers with respect, especially when they are honored on their first-ever flight, earning their "wings." Thank you @united .

So cute!
🇬🇧 During the London Blitz on Sept. 9, 1940, Faith, a church cat at St Augustine’s near St Paul’s Cathedral, sheltered her kitten Panda amid fire and falling rubble. Both survived. In 1945, Faith received a special PDSA silver medal for “steadfast courage.”

The damage Elon has done to SpaceX with his actions and tweets about Starlink & Starshield is massive. The board should step in.
If Musk crippled Starlink/Starshield leading to dead Ukrainians, then that is justification for a federal takeover. No matter his fabulous wealth, Musk cannot have veto power over life or death.

My late night drawing so I can sleep. I swear this works to get the mind to calm itself. Just pencil and paper and 30 minutes, then put the pencil down. My wife is ambivalent about what I draw…so I pick on her.

This was not an attempted hijacking. A flight attendant saw messages on a passenger's phone talking about hijacking. They promptly informed the pilots who initiated the return with the passenger "unaware" of what was going on.

Czech President: Trump And Putin’s Diesel Deal Derailed The Peace Process Czech President Petr Pavel stated that a truce between Russia and Ukraine was “very close” — until White House head Donald Trump lifted sanctions on Russian diesel fuel. The Czech president said this in an interview with the Axel Springer Global Reporters Network, which includes Politico. Pavel noted that coordinated US and European sanctions on Russian oil, oligarchs, and other industries had put Russia “in a difficult position.” However, the deal Trump announced earlier this month, under which Russia is to supply hundreds of thousands of tons of diesel fuel to the US, gave the Kremlin “room to catch its breath.” “Now it’s going to be much harder. Russia is using this momentum to get out from under pressure, and it’s a kind of moral boost for it,” Pavel is convinced. On Wednesday, the White House stated that Trump “successfully negotiated” this deal to provide the global market with “huge volumes of diesel fuel and lower prices.”

Fat content. Ouch.
Skinless hot dogs had a skin. The plant peeled it off. Oscar Mayer and Ball Park skinless franks start the same way. The meat is chopped with ice, salt and cure into a smooth batter, then pumped into a long cellulose casing, a tube of plant fiber that isn't meant to be eaten. The tube gets twisted into links, hung on racks, smoked and cooked until the batter sets. Then it goes through a chiller and into a peeler, where a blade slits the casing and a jet of air strips it off. The casing goes in the trash and the hot dog goes in the package. The hot dogs with snap are the ones that kept the casing, sometimes sheep intestine, and the label has to say if it came from a different animal than the meat. The federal standard for a hot dog allows up to 30% fat, or 40% fat and added water combined, plus 3.5% binders like nonfat dry milk or cereal.

This is just laughable.
BREAKING 🚨 DOJ lawyer Donnelly to the 9th circuit in today's emergency hearing: "We can't tell you how our list was created or what 3rd party NGOs helped to process it, but we're positive our list of 20,000 likely noncitizens is reliable because a DHS employee signed their name attesting to its reliability." You can't make this stuff up. DOJ case is getting destroyed. So the case they're arguing against California, that voter registration that doesn't require proof of citizenship but simply an attestation under penalty of perjury, is highly suspect and not secure, but the signature of one DHS employee attesting to the reliability of this list, is valid.

Clabber Girl baking powder has aluminum in it. So do most of the store brands next to it. The can lists corn starch, sodium bicarbonate, sodium aluminum sulfate and monocalcium phosphate. The corn starch keeps the powder dry so the other three don't react in the can. Sodium bicarbonate is baking soda, and it gives off carbon dioxide when it meets an acid in water. Monocalcium phosphate is the fast acid. It reacts the second the batter gets wet, so the first bubbles form in the bowl. Sodium aluminum sulfate is the slow acid. It doesn't react until the batter passes about 140F, so the second rise happens in the oven. Two acids, two rises, and that's all double-acting means. Sodium aluminum sulfate is the cheap way to get the slow acid, which is why it's in the cans that cost the least. Calumet, Kroger and Great Value use it too. Rumford, Argo and Bob's Red Mill leave it out and use sodium acid pyrophosphate for the slow half. The FDA lists sodium aluminum sulfate as generally recognized as safe. In America's Test Kitchen's blind tasting, a few tasters picked up a faint metallic taste from the aluminum cans and most couldn't tell. The ingredient list on the can is where you find out which one you have.

Something that's not being said. The REASON why @AGToddBlanche and @USAttyEssayli are so defiantly violating the Constitution is bc John Roberts said they can't be prosecuted so long as they're following Trump's illegal orders. Blanche's criminality arises DIRECTLY out of Trump v. US.
