Pet peeve:
People are not “originally from”.
People “currently live in”.
Saying “originally from” is implying you changed where you’re from by moving.
normalize talking about the weather during meals, let people’s brains spin down 🙃
I spent the last 60 days working at Cursor. It's been one of the most thrilling phases of my professional life.
There's a lot of mystique around the company. Over the last two months, some things matched my expectations; many did not.
I wrote an essay for @joincolossus about things that have surprised me about the company and its culture so far.

Should iOS take more responsibility when it comes to double- or triple-registered push notifications from apps? Recognize a pattern of “there’s always two of this really close in time with the exact same data” and cut it down to only one?
Even @duolingo can’t get it right, sooo.
Also looking at @Couchsurfing, but I literally don’t expect anything from that skeleton crew.
Hey @SlackHQ! That I muted a channel should not be confused with me not wanting to see it in its sidebar section. Not being disturbed by notifications vs. ease of access when I want to seek it out on my own time.
Hey @macOS! Why is this “require password” and not “require authentication”? Why do you bother me with my password when I could have used my fingerprint?
vg.no/nyheter/i/3M0bEP/espen…
Why don’t AbortControllers themselves support having signals passed in? Would be so nice to just have a master AbortController’s to trigger all others to abort.
Nah, this ain’t it. Nei. vg.no/nyheter/i/Oo0pxE/unge-…
Eller? nrk.no/sport/ole-gunnar-sols…
Grr!
All the Spanish @duolingo lessons that makes you say phrases including “en punto” are so unbelievably broken. *screams at phone*
Who’s responsible for Adidas’ backpack product photos? None of them are showing the straps. What a stupid fucking idea.
Hey @SpotifyCares! All we all want is to just be able to browse our libraries in the desktop app’s non-claustrophobic main column.
