Hey everyone! So I've been thinking about making another thread for quite a bit but didn't have a precise idea, so I figured why not just talk about something I love. Today, we'll talk about Hamiltonian constraints, and why they are awesome. I’ll ramble a bit but bear with me.
With the PhD adventure ending for me, I am now looking forward to the next chapter. If you have any postdoc offer or know someone looking for a postdoc please let me know. I am interested in anything related to theoretical physics, but mainly field theory, gravitation and math ph
I guess that’s on me for convincing my students that this is how theoretical physics is done…

Have you noticed that science communication is overrun with populist rhetoric? @TimHenke9 and I have.
We are beset by influencers who rubbish institutions, prop up cranks, and mislead audiences about problems in science.
We deserve better.

Do you love and cherish #electromagnetism? Here’s a Christmas gift for you!🎄#physics [1/14] arxiv.org/abs/2412.12299
Introducing : Imaginary probabilities. With this new type of probabilities, the possibilities are endless ! Positive, negative, heck mixed probabilities ! Who cares? They’re imaginary!
Me : "Mom could we get tensor algebra?"
Mom : "We already have tensor algebra at home."
The tensor algebra at home :

What the fuck is going on with Elsevier? How is this AI generated nonsense getting published ? Am I missing something ? Am I wrongly believing this is nonsense ?
Just what the fuck
Naïve question :
Is there any reason why there isn’t more work on string field theory? I can’t remember why the field(pun intended) kind of got stuck.
Please correct me if I said something wrong
The conference on developments in electrodynamics is officially over !
It was an amazing week full of exchanges and really fun discussions.
Special mention to @the_happyproton for the very long (and somehow drunk) late night conversations.
Looking forward to doing that again
As a rule, leaving full access to a beer cellar to a bunch of PhD students and postdocs is really bad idea.
However, cheap beer is good.
Going to Germany for the first time to attend our conference on developments in electrodynamics.
I’m praying all the gods : Deutsche Bahn don’t fuck me over.
