Naturally this message supersedes our article in the Hart - which had already gone to print after the announcement on Monday. Thank you everyone for your understanding and let’s all look forward to 2022!
Carnival Update Unfortunately, due to the extension of moving out of stage 3 of the road map - the restrictions have forced the cancellation of this years carnival. It goes without saying that this is another disappointment we all will have to endure as a result of Covid-19.
The good news is that it looks so positive that the current irreversible plan will mean that the 2022 Carnival will be one ‘as we know it’ after our 40+ years of running them - just bigger and better!

Not really much else to say - let’s hope the other festive efforts from our community don’t get tarnished by similar mindless and selfish incidents.
It’s more about securing other areas and the time/money it will take from the volunteer team. It’s incredibly disheartening to report this; given the additional efforts the whole village are putting in to this year’s Christmas in these difficult times.
