By appointing as his Chief of Staff the racist, xenophobic, homophobic architect of the deportation and internment policies overwhelmingly rejected by the American on Tuesday, Trump quickly proved that he’s a slow learner.
The lessons will resume on January 3.
Trump normalized intolerance, cruelty, lying, and corruption “the likes of which we’ve never seen” (as he likes to say) in our politics. Let’s hope the newly-elected Democrats can do the same thing for empathy, decency, truthfulness, and integrity.

I'm sure Trump will be thrilled that the stock market soared today after his party suffered one of the most stunning defeats in the past half century.

He just didn't realize it was in the opposite direction.
