#Bears GM Ryan Poles, on trading for Jeffery Simmons, says that going back to 2018, every Super Bowl champion has had a high-level DT—and believes that’s vital for a team that wants to win it all.

New #Bears DT Jeffery Simmons’ rank among defensive tackles this year:
• 98.9 PFN DT Impact grade (1st)
• 4.0 sacks (T-1st)
• 38 tackles (1st)
• 17.4 disruption EPA (1st)
The best DT in the entire NFL comes to Chicago.

Jeffrey Simmons completely changes the Chicago Bears for the next several years. He’s one of the best defensive players in the league. The picks don’t bother me in the slightest, as I expect them to be late firsts.

Again, the final terms ...
Bears get: DT Jeffery Simmons, 2028 fifth-round pick.
Titans get: 2027 first-round pick, 2028 first-round pick, 2027 fourth-round pick.
When I did my All-Pro calls last year, there was no more resounding first-teamer with coaches/execs than Simmons.

Trust me ESPN, if I’m watching South Alabama-Marshall on a Tuesday night, you don’t need to promote this Saturday’s games for me. I know that they’re happening.

I’ve never been in a situation where I beat a woman’s ass. Maybe that’s just me?
#Packers HC Matt LaFleur on RB Josh Jacobs’ return:
“I think a lot of times you get in a situation where you might not make the right decision. I think people learn from their mistakes. He’s extremely remorseful. I do believe he is a good person. I’ve been around him quite a bit. I believe in second chances.”
