1/ This ANZAC Day at the St James Park Cenotaph, more veterans and families will see their service acknowledged on the memorial.
Newly added campaign theatres include Cambodia, Somalia, Rwanda, East Timor, Iraq and Afghanistan.
7/ At Hawthorn RSL, we are proud that younger veterans can now stand alongside those who served before them and know their service has a visible place in our shared act of remembrance.
We also thank @Boroondara for restoring the memorial and recognising these modern campaigns.

Doin’ it for Chuck
Chuck Norris doesn’t run, he gets the HRSL Run Club to do it for him.
In memory of US Air Force veteran (1958-1962) & legend Chuck Norris, we gathered for a run!
Rest In Peace, Chuck. Thanks for the memories & laughs.
What’s your favourite Chuck Norris-ism?

Christmas in Kabul! 🎄🎅
In 2014, our VP Eamon spent Christmas at Camp Qargha, Kabul. QRF by day, then a rare break to enjoy a British Mess Christmas dinner as snow fell outside.
To all who serve over Christmas, and the families beside them: thank you, and Merry Christmas!🎄
We stand with the Australian Jewish community and all those affected by the attack in Bondi tonight.
Antisemitism and hatred have no place in Australia. We cannot accept this. Our Jewish brothers and sisters must be safe in this country, just as all Australians should be.
Hawthorn RSL strongly condemns the gutless vandalism of the Victoria Police Memorial.
We stand with the men and women of Victoria Police. With around 10% having served in the ADF, the bond with the veteran community is strong.
These cowardly acts have no place in our society.
Today is International Volunteer Day, and at Hawthorn, we absolutely love a volunteer.
Hawthorn RSL is 100% volunteer and despite having no paid staff, we’re proud of the high standards of the service we provide.
We’re grateful to all of our volunteers and thank you sincerely
The Changing Face Of Australian Veterans
Breaking misconceptions, representing our community, and contemporising who veterans are in 2025
Great to host our new @RSL_Australia National President Peter Tinley AM at Hawthorn RSL last night.
Joined by @rslvic State President Mark Schroffel and @SenRaffCiccone, we were deeply impressed by Peter’s passion, candour, and openness.
The RSL has new direction and new energy!
