Hey guys, I wanted to share what's been keeping me busy lately 👋 It's in a state I'm comfortable showing. Built with 8 years of experience doing this the hard way. I am open to working for Osaka, but my main goal is to get back on a team where everyone brings ideas and we push the game together.

In light of the recent competitive integrity ruling, I thought it would be interesting to look back at the rounds played 4v5 this stage. Teams played 32 rounds 4v5 from start to finish, across 6 games in 4 regions. 3 of those teams still won the game: INTZ 7-5 (with 8 rounds 4v5), 100 Thieves 8-6, Elevate 7-1. #R6Esports

Disqualifying DZ Academy for recording their own POV in Discord with comms, which is standard practice, simply shows an extreme lack of judgement. I have concerns about the consistency of admin decisions and their impact on stages and qualifications. A few examples from this stage from our side alone. Vs 5 Fears: We requested a replay due to a drone bug but were told to play on. After the round, I tried to explain the issue and offer our internal VOD, but couldn't get the admins to review it. "On the stream it looks like he just isn't moving it." Vs WC: WC requested a replay over a gadget issue which, in reality, was user error. They were allowed to present their internal VOD, and the replay was granted. The situations weren't identical, but the difference in how evidence was handled raises questions. Vs 4fun: A round was replayed after three of our players lost power more than a minute into the round, while we were already 4v5. The replay decision had a direct impact on the round's outcome, as we had no realistic chance of winning when Shaun would have died half a second after the power loss. We also almost had to use an emergency sub because of a bug following a patch on match day that forced a computer restart, rather than rescheduling. Admins were already aware of the bug. I don't know how many times this stage we also saw 4v5 games continue to be played. Only saving was that Shaun was in the team house and had a spare computer. These aren't small decisions. Replay rulings, technical issues and forced substitutions affect results, standings and qualifications. Players dedicate years to competing, and orgs invest significant resources. Admins have a difficult job, but transparency and accountability are essential when their decisions carry this much weight. Competitive integrity is something DZ Academy are being disqualified for breaching. Difficult to respect or understand these decisions when the standards being enforced don't appear to be applied consistently.
Competitive ruling Following an investigation into a match played on October 25th, NA Open Cup league officials determined that Dark Zero Academy breached the rules applicable in regard with eligible participants to the NA Open Cup in Salt Lake City in a manner adversely impacting the integrity of the competition. As a consequence, Dark Zero Academy will be disqualified from the NA Open Cup Finals.

This statement is incredibly vague and tells us nothing. If it's as DZ Academy says, and I see no reason to doubt them, this is yet another example of how poorly support staff are understood and considered in Siege. We already have very few tools and opportunities to make an impact during a game, and an instant DQ for a coach muted while recording VODs is wild. Pro coaches have bent the rules way more than this. Insane ruling.

1. Our guys have not and will not ever try to cheat in any way - fellas just wanted to get a VOD recording the same exact way we do for our matches 2. The fact that the rule changes from one lan to another for them and they get an insta DQ is fucking ridiculous

This is my starting point. I've got more planned, and I'm still exploring new metrics, either to go further or to help with processes we had in the different teams I was on. Players • A profile for each player • Exploitable habits: usual routes, positions, timings • Tells: what they do after a kill, after being droned, a man down Self-assessment • Why we struggle on a site or a map • Where we need to innovate, seeing trends Opponents • Attack visualisations • How a team generally plays: preferences, tendencies • A profile for each team

On the more concrete side: if your staff prefers its own tools, I can export the data for your sheets. And pictures like the 4th one for every setup of every round.

Building new tools and rethinking how I work, figured this could be a fun experiment. Useless on its own and mostly for show here. This isn't the tool itself, but the data is sound and it's all there.
