Tidying up my pinned tweet. Improved version: Why is it acceptable for men who choose to ID as women to demand space segregated from men, but not for women to demand space segregated from men? As smarter women than me have noted: being “kind” & misusing words helps no one.

Her ex husband threw acid in her face and laughed & tried to make her feel ashamed. Being a woman of strength Fahima Sarfaraz held her head high & carried on. Women are worth far more than their looks. Shame really must change sides. There should be a public outcry against him.
She was born in Iran and built her life in Afghanistan a woman's rights activist with a voice that frightened the men around her. So her ex-husband threw acid on her face. In the hospital, after the surgeries, she sat with her head shaved doctors had taken skin from her scalp to rebuild her face. She was still bandaged, still bleeding, still healing. But her son was not by her side. He was living with his father. And his father set the condition: if you want to talk to your son, you will do it on a video call so I can see what you've become. She accepted. She needed to hear her child's voice. On that call, her ex-husband looked at her destroyed face and smiled. He said: "Look at you. You've become like a monster. You'll never dare go out in public again people will be terrified when they see you. I dare you. I dare you to go out and talk about women's rights." He thought he had broken her. He thought that face was the end of her. He was wrong. Every scar on her face became a sentence in her speech. They took her beauty so she took his fear and turned it into courage. Today she walks in public with her head high, and she speaks about women's rights louder than ever. He wanted to bury her in shame. Instead, he gave the world a witness. That is why I invited her to our Freedom gala in Poland to dedicate to her the Medal of Freedom I received. Because she is the symbol of resilience itself: the symbol of every woman whose face was burned but whose voice could not be silenced. Thank you, Poland for opening your doors, for giving visas to my delegation of women from Iran, Afghanistan, and Cameroon. We are about to start a global women's rights movement and we will go together, all of us, to the German Parliament very soon. This time, I invited 10 women. In Berlin, we will invite more dissidents. @FahimaSarfaraz

Woman sees gap in the market for women-only accommodation in London. Woman opens women-only hostel. And you know what’s coming… Owner of Hostelle London, Bianca Brasdorp, says: ‘We are committed to providing an inclusive and safe environment where all women can feel welcomed and valued. This includes transgender women, whose presence enriches our community, we honor (sic) and affirm their gender identity, acknowledging their rightful place in this space.’ Has Bianca been living under a rock? Errr… hello… Supreme Court ruling… you can’t say something’s women-only and then let the men in… allowing males to share dormitories and showers with women and girls is a SAFEGUARDING FAIL! Women who haven’t read the full website and turn up to find a male in their room have every reason to be angry at being deceived. Do better Bianca. Or at least read the EHRC Code of Practice which is very clear on how to interpret the Law. Women-only really must mean women only. It’s the law.

Doing the right thing is not always easy. For women it often comes with censure for speaking up. Criticism for not backing down and accepting the injustice: for not being “nice” and “kind”. It is worth noting that when women agree compromise the criticism turns to accusations of not standing up strongly enough. We admire Jan Murray’s bravery. The last 10 years have shown us that if women do not stand up for their rights they get taken away.

The International Olympic Committee has scrapped its Gender Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Commission. The group of gender ideologists that inflicted so much damage on women’s sport has been unceremoniously dismantled. Good. There is no place for fairy tale thinking at any level of sport.

In 2025, we wrote to the CEOs of every major high street retailer to ask them to restore single-sex changing facilities to keep women and girls safe. 🚩 Not a single CEO replied to us. We know from our work in leisure centres that sexual crimes are significantly more likely in mixed-sex settings. Our reports show that 86-88% of sexual crimes in leisure centre changing rooms (in England, Wales and Northern Ireland) occurred in mixed-sex changing villages. In Scotland, 100% of the sexual assaults recorded in leisure centre changing rooms were in mixed-sex facilities. 🚩 The failure to provide women and girls with safer, single-sex changing rooms is a safeguarding RED FLAG. Look out for our street stalls on your local high street and watch out for our campaign messages on social media. We’d love to hear what you think of your local high street stores’ changing facilities. Contact us at [email protected] The safest changing room is a single-sex changing room.

We sincerely hope NHS West & North London are doing better than this. There is no integrity in prevaricating on honouring women’s rights and obeying the law. If the NHS want to regain public trust they need to stop unnecessary consultations and endless reviews and act.
🧵🧵🧵 At August’s @sashnhs public Board meeting, Surrey WRN asked a question re the Trust's single-sex accommodation policy and was promised a follow-up response before the next public meeting in Oct. No update was given either before or at that meeting. 1/3 @Rebecca_SPaul

In my last parkrun as a female, I ran in the women's 40-44 category. I lost out on 1st overall female to somebody who won a 3rd place trophy in the men's 30-34 category in last season's X-country. This is what parkrun's warm and fuzzy inclusiveness looks like. 🤷‍♀️🤯 @RRRunnersUK

WHOA!!! WARNING. DISTURBING. I told you things were ramping up on the Bluey place. They have no brakes. This needs to be investigated. Do you see how a Charlie Kirk incident can happen? This really is a dangerous sect growing. Getting worse and worse. Please listen.

I am in direct contact with my students and so many Afghan women, and the stories I hear from them are heartbreaking. Please, I beg you, do not let the voices of Afghan women be silenced. Please speak up for them louder and more boldly than ever before. Keep telling their stories. Keep the world listening. Do not let the world forget them. For more than five years, Afghan women and girls have been systematically denied their fundamental rights, including access to education, and pushed out of public life. Yet their voices, dreams, and hopes have not disappeared. Afghan women are not invisible. Their suffering must not become normal. Their silence must never be mistaken for consent. Please help make the world hear them. They deserve freedom, education, dignity, and a future. @jk_rowling, please stand with Afghan women. Please help amplify their voices. The world must not look away. 💔

It’s important that people know what happened here. Unqualified lunatic doctor goes rogue, hands out hormones et al to kids without telling their parents. Second doctor *whose job it is* to pass on safeguarding concerns passes on such concerns, plus her own. Result: second doctor investigated for ‘transphobia’, smeared, subjected to hostile 4-hr interrogation, mental health severely impacted, forced out of her job. Over the next few years all her worst fears are much more than confirmed. Many children suffer severe, irreversible & completely preventable harm, not bc of a ‘bad apple’ but bc of NHS culture ‘Why are you so concerned?’
From an excellent account by @hannahsbee of a tribunal that ended a few days ago. Dr Sarah Redvers’s life was made a misery and her reputation trashed by people whose allegiance was to an ideology rather than individual patients. But the scandal wasn’t confined to Brighton, as…

Gosh, colour us surprised! Dr Theo/Beth/Lis Upton is predictably causing chaos Down Under. Turns out that Australian women also want same sex care to be provided by a doctor of the same sex. ‘Lis’ is described by colleagues as ‘lovely’. Well, he would be wouldn’t he? As long as you’re allowing him into the female changing rooms where you’re undressed, everything is fine and dandy. For him. Is there an Australian Nurse Sandie Peggie about to find her voice? dailymail.com/news/article-1…

Retailers must recognise women’s need for privacy, dignity and safety on the high street. They must ACT NOW! It's basic safeguarding. 🚩 Women should not have to discuss intimate details of their mastectomy within earshot of a male in the next cubicle when they’re being fitted for a post-surgery bra. 🚩 Mums and daughters shopping for a first bra should not have to whisper their conversation because there’s a man in the changing cubicle next to them. 🚩 Teenage girls should not be put at risk of a sexual predator putting his phone over or under the cubicle in the changing room. 🚩 No woman should be put at risk of sexual assault or rape in a fully lockable floor-to-ceiling cubicle installed because the retailer thinks it’s ‘inclusive’ to provide mixed changing rooms. We are calling for the restoration of single-sex changing rooms in high street stores and supermarkets. No woman or girl should run the risk of being the victim of a sex crime just because she wants to try on new clothes. 2/3

📣 NEW CAMPAIGN! 📣 Introducing the Women’s Rights Network Red Flag Campaign: Retail Millions of women and girls are being put at risk of sexual crimes in mixed-sex changing rooms. Our new Red Flag Campaign Retail focuses on the safety of women and girls in high street stores and supermarkets. Mixed-sex changing rooms attract sexual predators looking for easy access to women and girls in a state of undress. Our research in Leisure Centres found that 86-100% of sexual crimes in leisure centre changing rooms occurred in mixed-sex facilities. (Our leisure centre research is published on our website.) Now we are turning our attention to the dangers of high street changing rooms. 🚩🚩🚩 Women and girls are experiencing voyeurism, illicit photography, even sexual assault, because retailers have abandoned single-sex changing rooms in favour of ‘inclusive’ mixed-sex changing facilities. Retailers have a duty of care to their customers and we say denying women the privacy, dignity and safety of a single-sex changing room is a dereliction of their duty to keep us safe on their premises. 1/3

🚨Hilary Cass has called for an independent inquiry into how Brighton GPs were allowed to prescribe cross-sex hormones to children as young as 12.“There urgently needs to be an investigation of why every system that should have protected children, young people, and indeed young adults has failed,” she told me. The employment tribunal between Dr Sarah Redvers and NHS Sussex has highlighted how regulators and the NHS collectively failed to stop prescribing of puberty blockers and hormones against national guidelines - for years - and how instead the person raising concerns was accused of transphobia and herself investigated. Dr Redvers sat down with me for her only newspaper interview about her treatment in a scandal which, Cass now says, “dwarfs” that of the Tavistock’s GIDS. Me for the Sunday Times… thetimes.com/article/cfde7b4…

If they were working class Social Services and possibly the police would have been visiting the parents immediately. The British class system is so entrenched that the higher echelons can leave their children in pubs and check them in to cloakrooms with no consequences.
I saw @francesbarber13 post about this, shocked that they left their baby in the cloakroom at Groucho’s. I thought “oh dear, scatterbrained parents, got the t-shirt, how many minutes was the baby left there?” But no. They checked the baby into the cloakroom deliberately.

I know it’s shocked you already, but thus far the BBC has only revealed a fraction of the appalling scandal of how Brighton children and their families have been treated. You see, it didn’t start at the ‘gender’ clinic. No! It started at school, and in other forms of social grooming. It was nurtured by counselling sessions with one agenda from which parents were excluded. Children were told by counselling to ignore their parents. If the BBC wants to tell this story properly- to show they’re serious journalists- they need to start at the very beginning… They must do this to protect other young people and their families from destruction. Happy to point them to where to go for information.
I’m expecting the Education part of this story to then be brought up by the BBC social affairs team. This is NHS story is the clinic bit of the “classroom to the clinic” pathway operated by our institutions.

💔Afghan women are not giving up, but they are running out of options. The world must act now, before the last light of hope is extinguished. For more than five years, Afghan women and girls have been systematically excluded from society, denied education, work, and their basic rights. Please, share their stories and keep talking about Afghan women. The world must not remain silent. 💔

78 young people harmed by the NHS because managers would rather harass Dr Redvers out of a job than deal with the Wild West of gender medicine. Dr Redvers is right to call this a medical scandal.
Good report on the employment tribunal of Dr Sarah Redvers and the medical scandal at WellBN Brighton, from Alison Holt at the BBC.
