A 74 year old man (asthmatic too) taught me to always stand/sit upright with my back straight against the wall when I’m having an attack, Irrespective of how uncomfortable I feel.
That trick has saved my life so many times. I hope this helps someone out there with asthma.
May God grant him eternal rest.
26-year-old Obanyeli Jesse Chima was an international student from Nigeria who had just finished his master's degree in Public Health in London.
He was waiting in a lounge to meet friends for a joint birthday celebration when he said he needed to step outside for some air. His breathing quickly deteriorated.
Despite using three different inhalers he had with him, nothing helped. His friend called an ambulance, but while she was still on the phone with the operator, he collapsed.
His friends started CPR right there on the street, guided by the emergency operator.
Paramedics spent about two hours working to stabilise him before rushing him to hospital.
He was placed on life support. At first, medics hoped he would only suffer memory loss.
But two days later, doctors confirmed there had been no improvement and tests showed he was brain-dead.
Jesse was just 26. He leaves behind three siblings in Nigeria.
He was known as a passionate Chelsea FC fan who had even worked at the club.
His friend Eva said his family had been saving money to fly over for his graduation.
"His family had saved money for his graduation, and now that money needs to be used to bury their child," she said.
Friends are now raising money to transport his body back to Nigeria so his family can lay him to rest.

The world is not designed to reward goodness, honesty, or hard work. It rewards value, power, leverage, and the ability to influence outcomes. Morality matters, but it does not guarantee success. Intelligence matters, but it does not guarantee opportunity. And hard work means very little when the system you operate in is designed to keep you disadvantaged.
CRAFTy weekend with Compound and contributing writer @IbukunTim
Had an extra year and it shook my identity and self-worth so much. It would have also been an incredibly lonely time, save for my friend Excellent who walked the length of the year with me.
Over a year ago, @Utseoritselaju_ and I made the decision to speak about something difficult, and together, we brought that decision to life.

Don’t get carried away.
There is nothing happening to another woman that cannot happen to you.
We live in a crazy society. I’m telling you, it’s crazy.

Dangerous rhetoric.
You can, as a matter of fact, crave what you’ve never tasted. Sexual urges don’t magically appear only after sex.
It’s this kind of rhetoric that makes Christians feel strange, dirty, or even demonic for experiencing sexual urges.
Sexual desire is a normal human experience, including for Christians. What matters is how you respond. Do you act on every urge, or turn to God for help navigating it?
This kind of teaching pushes people into secrecy. “I can’t tell anyone about this. Something must be wrong with me for feeling this way.”
And secrecy makes the struggle harder.
When these feelings arise, acknowledge them as a normal part of being human. Have trusted brethren of the same gender you can talk to, build healthy accountability structures, and seek resources to help you navigate them.
You can crave what you’ve never tasted.

I looked at my drenched Hafsatu Bebi and I cried so much. I don’t even want to think about it deeply. But who am I without all my books? What am I living for? I cried so much yesterday, and I have no more tears left to cry. What do I wear? I am tired.

We honestly DO NOT talk enough about how God will give you a completely ordinary day. No emergencies, no devastating phone calls, no chaos. Just peace.
That alone is a blessing.

Saying that feminism is destroying traditional families is just admitting that traditional family values were built upon the oppression of women.
