The philosophies around learning between Tagore and Socrates look very different. Tagorean Curiosity is one of wonder and bringing a fresh perspective. Socratic Inquiry is based on doubt - to reveal a deeper truth by questioning I love both.

Nothing beats hard work. Not even smart work. Privileged people who get lucky and haven't self actualized spread this whole smart work beats hard work rumor. Hard work builds smarts too. You can't become smart by being lazy. – at Bongaigaon, India

Not sure if it's satire or a prophecy.
If your software is human-coded slop, I’m not using it. It’s just too risky. AI can find vulnerabilities in human code faster than humans can find and patch them. I’m done trusting software written by humans. AI-coded only from now on.

Last month, Chinese researchers demonstrated quantum teleportation over 100 simultaneous channels. Who's building a verifier for quantum computations? 🤔

Some techbro wrote that humans will never be as good as LLMs. Bro used to sell coding courses.. My problem is not the claim, but rather a lack of evidence. I too think that LLM aided development is the future, but there's nuance to it. – at Bongaigaon, India

Please implement this.
Strategic laziness: waiting on difficult projects because a future AI will be able to one-shot it much before you would have completed the project yourself.

Alchemy! – at Bongaigaon, India
Replying to @MarathonFusion
In 2025, we published a bold proposal to use fusion reactors for gold production. And now we’ve done it: Mercury transmuted into stable gold, using fusion neutrons, at 10x the record set by CERN in 2025. We’ve reduced alchemy to a series of difficult but tractable engineering problems.

It does not cost $1000 and the first time you burn a resistor is when you learn through 5 senses and not just 2. Simulation is awesome but does not replace our somatosensory and prorpioceptive units. – at Bongaigaon, India
I just solved "Robotics Engineering" education with Opus 5.5 + /colorfigures skill no need to spend $1000+ on a starter kit to learn what a resistor does, just visit my interactive site: • 13 real boards: Arduino Uno, L298N, Raspberry Pi 5... • build part by part: pick & place, reflow, solder, plug in • break them on purpose: reversed caps pop, chips smoke, LEDs burn out send the skill to your Claude: > april-zhu.com/colorfigures try it free, no sign-up ↓

If everyone is 10x engineer, then no one is 10x engineer. A lot of 0.1x engineers.

We have the solution. – at Bongaigaon, India
I am so much more exhausted when I program with AI than without it. I reflected a bit, and I think I know why. First, I think about how to solve a problem. This step is the same with and without AI. Then, with AI I have to write a prompt with a decent bit of precision and somewhat more long-term than if I just jumped into straight implementing it and figuring out the details as I go. Then you start up the agent, and you immediately have some other work to do and you jump to another prompt for another task, where you also think really hard and try to formulate what you want quite well. By the time you're done, first agent has some code for you to review, and you can't slack - you need to actually review it and be diligent about it. And when you're done - second task is there for your review. So really there's not time to rest. When I program manually, I can decompress while typing the code in, I can rely on my muscle memory for typing and navigating the codebase, so there's periods of deep think and some relaxation. With AI, there's only deep think. And as soon as you try to think less - you open the doors for slop. It's so tiring.

Software Engineering is solved! How can engineering be solved? We have very solved ways to write code. The code is clean, with good architecture. Coding is solved. Engineering, as a discipline, stays mysteriously unsolved. – at Bongaigaon, India
