For the first time in the current outbreak, the DRC has reported over 100 new Ebola cases in a single 24 hour period.
Total confirmed cases have now officially surpassed 3,000.
The DRC reports 97 new confirmed Ebola cases, the highest single day total of the outbreak so far.
An additional 62 deaths were recorded, mostly in the community, indicating that unmonitored transmission chains are spreading unchecked.
The Bundibugyo Ebola outbreak in the DRC has officially passed 1,000 confirmed deaths, reaching over 2,500 total cases in just over two months.
