Good to see @AnitaAnandMP condemn this abhorrent terror attack targeting Christians at a Jordanian church. Curiously, @CanadaFP and Ms. Anand herself failed to condemn today’s Hamas shooting terror attack in Judea & Samaria that saw 2 Israelis savagely murdered and 3 others injured. Care to explain why the lose of Israeli lives didn’t merit attention from you?
Today, an act of terrorism violated the sanctity of a funeral at a church in the Jordanian city of Karak. Families had gathered to mourn; instead, they became the targets of a horrific attack. Canada condemns this violence in the strongest terms. My deepest condolences to the members of the Greek Orthodox Church and to those grieving this loss, and I wish the injured a full recovery. I have been in contact with my counterpart, Foreign Minister @AymanHsafadi, to express Canada’s solidarity with the Jordanian people. We will remain in close contact as we stand together in defence of religious freedom, human dignity and the fundamental right to worship in peace.

Your daily dose of double standards, courtesy of the Canadian government.
Canada's prime minister says Turkey values human rights, democracy and rule of law after meeting with Erdogan. Turkey has: • imprisoned the main opposition figure whose on trial • taken over a pro-opposition news channel • detained LGBT activists + broke into their offices

Nora, I find it curious that your condescension and insults towards me were able to take a quick and convenient break when your team reached out to my team asking if I would invite you on my show to talk about the issues facing Canada’s creative class. I was more than happy to do it and help you share your thoughts with my audience. Nice to see the break is over and we can resume our regularly scheduled petty sniping.

Awful news coming from the Christian community in Jordan. A reminder that radical Islam knows no boundaries. It is coming for anyone who does not agree with their hateful extremist ideology. Canada is not immune, and our leaders must remain vigilant.
🚨 Terrorists shot up a funeral procession outside of a Jordanian church, killing 6 and wounding at least 28, according to reports.

The double standard of @MarkJCarney and the Canadian government ⬇️ If Canada claims to defend freedom, democracy, and human dignity, those principles must shape whom we embrace. Yet Carney pursues closer ties with Turkey, Qatar, and China despite their human-rights records, while his government continues to publicly condemn Israel, a democratic ally confronting Iran and its terrorist proxies, including Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis. Why are human-rights abuses no obstacle to closer partnerships, while Israel’s security challenges receive so little understanding?

181 words, and not only does @CJPME hide that these Palestinians were in fact Hamas terrorists, but they call this terror attack a "gun battle", when in fact this was fully initiated by Palestinian terrorists. Israel responded as ANY sovereign nation would. Why don't you ever hold Palestinians and their terrorism responsible instead of trying to shift the blame to Israel?
We are alarmed by a major escalation unfolding in the occupied West Bank, where Israel has launched an operation to ethnically cleanse and “destroy” an entire neighbourhood in the Palestinian city of Hebron. Deploying genocidal rhetoric, Defence Minister Israel Katz says the neighbourhood will be “emptied of its residents”, “ Just like in Gaza, just like in Lebanon.” Netanyahu has promised to put the entire West Bank under lockdown, imprisoning millions of people, as well as a military assault “of a scale not seen” since the 1967 war when Israel occupied parts of Palestine, Egypt, and Syria. This escalation follows a gun battle at a military checkpoint in which two Israeli soldiers and two Palestinians were killed. Israel’s presence in the OPT is unlawful according to the ICJ. It is clear that just days before Israel’s election, its leaders are exploiting this incident as an opportunity to inflict as part harm as possible on the Palestinian people as a whole. This is an illegal act of collective punishment and a major escalation of colonial violence. Canada must sanction Israel now.

Why is Canada continuing to cozy up to some of the world's worst human rights abusers? What message do we send to people facing persecution when their oppressors receive a warm embrace from Canadian leaders? Canada once took pride in standing up for its principles. Canadians deserve a foreign policy with the conviction to uphold them.
New markets. Stronger defence. Greater energy security. We’re forging a new Canada–Türkiye Strategic Partnership.

This is the headline Canadians woke up to from @CBCNews. ⬇️ Not only did CBC attempt to draw sympathy by inaccurately portraying these Palestinians as innocent victims of Israeli aggression, but there was also no mention at all in the headline that this was a Hamas terror attack carried out by Hamouda and Firas Jua’ba, two Hamas-linked terrorists who injured 5 innocent Israelis in their terror attack. After HRC lodged a complaint immediately this morning, CBC updated its headline, which now reads "Israeli soldiers, Palestinian gunmen killed in exchanges" The revised headline still does Canadians a disservice. Describing a terror attack as an “exchange” obscures who initiated the violence: Palestinian terrorists attacked, and Israeli forces responded. Why is @CBCNews leaving that crucial context out of its headline? cbc.ca/news/world/israel-wes…

Huh, weird... hours after a Palestinian terror attack against Israeli civilians, which injured 5, and a terror attack in Jordan, which killed 6 and injured 28 more against the Christian community, and not a word of condemnation from @CJPME... What happened to "Justice and Peace in the Middle East"?

Care to mention why Israel closed off this area of Judea and Samaria @markmackinnon? Left untold by you, today there was another murderous attack on Israelis in the area by two Hamas-linked Palestinian terrorists who killed two Israelis and injured 3 others. To tacitly imply that this Israeli security restriction had to do with Israel’s PM seeking electoral gain is without foundation.
Four days before PM Netanyahu’s future is decided in elections…

“Alleged attack” @CTVNews ? These two bloodthirsty Hamas terrorists had an M16 assault rifle and a pistole and murdered two Israelis in cold blood and injured three others while trying to carry out a mass casualty attack. What more proof do you need?

Question: Why won't Canada's news media put a proper focus on the continued terrorism by Palestinians in Judea and Samaria? Canadians deserve to be properly informed!
The reality of Palestinian violence in Judea and Samaria. Yesterday, Palestinian attackers set fire to the Tomb of Eleazar the Priest (son of Aaron, brother of Moses, and High Priest of Israel during the biblical period) in Awarta, Samaria, damaging a Jewish holy site. Another example of the ongoing wave of Palestinian violence targeting Jews and Jewish heritage in Judea and Samaria. jsrcenter.org/en/articles/ar…

This is what we call double standards. Funny how @MarkJCarney has no problem visiting Turkey, an authoritarian Islamist regime that oppresses opposition politicians, journalists, and LGBTQ individuals and illegally occupies 40% of Cyprus. Meanwhile, since becoming Prime Minister, he has never bothered to visit Israel, the only democratic nation in the Middle East that upholds our Western values, with equal rights for all. @MarkJCarney should be condemning Turkey, NOT giving them an official visit.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has embarked on a three-day visit to Turkey seeking closer relations with one of the world’s most repressive, cruel, and abusive regimes, a global leader in torturing prisoners, jailing journalists, and killing Kurds. This is the same Mark Carney who never misses a chance to condemn democratic Israel and threaten us with sanctions. Bon voyage to the hypocrite-in-chief.
