17 years ago today, Satoshi emailed Martti Malmi about the next Bitcoin release.
Satoshi was thinking about ordinary things: safer wallet backups, simpler transaction fees, and multi-processor mining.
Then he wrote:
“It’s good to be coding again!”
I love that line.
Before Bitcoin became markets, politics, and endless arguments, people wrote code, ran it, and tried to make it better.
Seventeen years later, there’s something familiar happening again around Bitcoin Purity (BTC1). People are running nodes, building miners, working on wallets, pools, gateways, and tools, often because they believe Bitcoin is worth building for.
