I've never seen a league prepare everyone for losing more than the SEC this year. The Big Ten has played 9 since 2017. The Big 12 since 2011. The PAC 12 did it and was the reason they got screwed every year in the CFP era. There is no doubt a 9-3 team will get in but the nonstop whining about it is ridiculous

So prior to this weekend, I was thinking Notre Dame was a shoe in at 10-2. The Irish schedule strength checked out OK. But then today happened. With Wisconsin getting destroyed by Iowa and SMU losing to Syracuse, now I’m less sure.

How on earth is the ESPN All State playoff prediction suggesting that Notre Dame losing to 2-5 Navy would still allow them a 43% chance path to the CFP? Are we serious? More than 4/10 chance losing to a 2-5 team and losing to a ranked BYU team. How?

DO NOT accept this false narrative that the SEC is cannabalizing itself with 9 conference games now as an excuse for its poor performance this season. Each SEC team has only played between 4-6 conference games so far. Same as always. The 9th game impact has yet to even happen.
