RANT: I'm so sick and tired of EVERY AI project being slapped with an "AI Slop" label. The past two weeks I have been GRINDING out hypersalesman.com/folders Long story short: I'm reviving all the old fonts from vintage movie posters, comic books, TV shows, magazines, food packaging, clothing brands... you name it. NONE of these fonts are available in digital format. I'm a very amateur-level typographer. I suck. But I started using codex + Affinity (illustrator alt.) to bring these classic fonts back. My living room is filled with graph paper filled with lettering attempts too. This has, all together, been an 80 hour, sleepless night project. But because AI was part of my process, I'm getting sh*t on. "Go k*ll yourself" and "F*ck you" and "This isn't REAL art" - I have been downvoted soooooo hard out of several subreddits. Listen....... I'm not pretending to be a 'real artist.' I simply want to make something cool and useful. I've even made the whole collection free. There are 129 fonts in there. Some people have been super excited about it and have even used the fonts for commercial projects. But the doomers and gloomers of AI are EXHAUSTING and keep complaining. One guy even DMd me my address and said "STOP STEALING ALL THE WATER!!!" C'mon! Yeah, some AI projects are total slop. AI comments and posts are slop. Anything low effort = slop. But I've spent a load of time on this and it's been a longtime dream project. I'm getting sick of cool AI stuff being slapped with "slop" Rant over TLDR It's lame to call awesome project "slop" simply for being AI...

Prediction: Adobe will go freemium. They’ll sue Brandon first. But when 100+ others vibe code CC, they’ll have no choice. Just wait. Photoshop, PP, Illustrator will all be free. You’ll be sold on AI upsells.
I've vibe coded replacements to 7 of Adobe's apps in Rust. They're open source (links below)

Clients like this make selling so much easier. We work like crazy for Chris [last name anonymous]. Prospect wanted a couple references. This is what he said. Absolutely love to see it.

This is ridiculous. Yes, go all-in. "Find an hour each day to grow a side project" Building a business takes way more than 1-hour per day.
Please don't quit your job and go "all in". Find an hour each day to grow a side project. Replace 60% of your current income while trending in the right direction. Then make your move. Almost always a better decision.

I know it's 'lame' to bash competitors, but these guys are the worst. And I have a stack of receipts to prove it. TLDR They takeover your account, 'write' 40 generic AI-written sloppies each month, and plug their sponsors into your posts as advertisements. This is a 10 y/o, 120-person company btw. [THE FULL STORY] In the past year, I've met with 3 of their clients (all of which are sales leaders). And every time, it was the same sh*t. "If you're a CRO at [REDACTED FINTECH], why do they have you posting this random article talking about insurance?" It was a pattern. All of Qnary's clients were all writing the same thing and posting the same links. If you don't believe me, look up the folks who left testimonials on their site. Go through their posts. Bizarre. This isn't what hiring a ghostwriter should feel like. You want someone who understands your domain of expertise and can magically drive impressions and $$$... If the content is driving anything meaningful, then what's the point? And for the record, this isn't a cheap-shot attempt from me to win their customers over. So if this post turned you off, Tommy Clark, Finn Thormeier, and Nate Zroh are all stellar writers, too. But please, don't work with this company. Rant over 🎤🤚

JUST IN: Palmer Luckey's genetically modified military dog startup, Warhound, comes out of stealth, aiming to create enhanced canines for the U.S. military.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
This is NOT Palmer's company at all, his company Anduril is only supplying the tech for the dogs, and this is a wholly owed Collosal entiity x.com/palmerluckey/s…

Any fonts made before 1966 were done by hand. This goes for movie posters, ads, magazine covers; you name it. Nearly all these fonts have been forgotten about and were never turned into digital fonts. This means they are unavailable. So I'm launching a side project: Typeface Revival I've brought back 129 fonts so far. And I'll be bringing back many, many more. Free for everyone: hypersalesman.com/folders/

AI is reaaaaally bad at writing. And it always will be. You could feed AI every piece of Shakespeare and it wouldn't be able to produce anything remotely good. Hard stop. Sure, they've gotten a lot better. Especially when Astra dropped. However... We have the data that proves it still sucks. Some of the startups we work with are on a low-retainer plan where 100% of their content is produced through our agents (they are aware of this btw). Despite 200+ hours of building frameworks, testing LLMs, harnessing, prompting, etc. Feeding it loads of skills and .md files. Despite the effort, the content produced through our agents generate 85% LESS impressions than hand written pieces. Even with manual changes. This is the different between 1M impressions & 150K impressions per month on LI. So, if someone wants to build a content agent... we don't stop them. Try it. Half-assed content.
Replying to @HyperSalesman
How are you handling the objection that agents can now do this?

Babies are a beautiful gift. "I'm sorry" is a disgusting response to this. Should be celebrating.

Agency is doing better than ever. My income from Erudite has officially exceeded my highest-paid years in tech sales. Wife and I got a new car today. New crib for the baby. Life is good.

Ever since I was a child, I’ve been obsessed with type. I’d go through my dad’s library just to stare at the covers. I’d trace the letters on my VHS tapes. That’s why I’m launching Typeface Revival: bringing forgotten lettering from ads, old books, films, and posters back to life as usable fonts. Beautiful work, drawn by artists decades ago, deserves to be seen and used again. 100% free. Link below.

My wife went on LinkedIn for the first time in 8 months: "It's just a bunch of people talking about the same things. I don't understand how you could spend so much time on it. Adam Robinson is kind of cool but I don't even like reading his stuff."

"Yeah AI is crazy! I have an agentic workflow that reviews my calls beforehand and sends me info on the lead!" 🫩 Brother You're doing exactly what the lat 100 guys did

For everything GTM, the future is API. I predicted this way before the AI-era. "Should I use Clay?" is kind of a crazy question if you're a broke startup. Why? Especially when anyone with a 60+ IQ can now buy their own APIs and plug them into Claude Code or Codex. 1. Get QuickEnrich API (unlimited contact data) 2. Get Floqer (API-based Clay) Pop them into your LLM of choice. For any contact data overlooked by QE, use 40+ data vendors provided by Floqer w/ nearly ZERO markup on cost. This covers much more than just emails/mobiles - Companies hiring for role - Lead changes company - New funding round - Lookalikes Like basically anything. (NOT AN AD BTW) But since people keep asking me, please for the love of god, get Floqer and save $250K/yr on your data.
