This @nytimes push alert says it all about @TroyJackson207’s incredible achievement
Senator-Elect @TroyJackson207: working people in Maine know they will have someone fighting for them in the US Senate
Team collins crash out continues
Bill Green, a beloved retired newscaster in Maine, cut an ad for Susan Collins saying that "Troy doesn't have the tools he needs." The Jackson campaign has mocked the ad mercilessly.
Over the phone, Green told me he thinks Jackson is controlled by the D.S.A. “He’s a bumpkin. I wish I hadn’t said that. But he is. He’s not an intelligent guy.”

Building a 36-person campaign team in 100 days takes a lot. Huge credit to our kickass CM @HilaryBarrett91 for everything she put into this.
Simultaneously, the Maine Democratic Coordinated Campaign, led by the fearless @kaylavanw, scaled up to 46 full-time staff. A huge feat.
And yet, every R senator like @SenSusanCollins ultimately stands with him. Voters are sick of this. We’ll see just how sick of it they are tonight.
In fact, the most coherent proposal presented by Trump this year was straight bribery. Or, to be more creative in the Chicago spirit, ex post facto walking-around money. What else to call the president’s September stunner, which caught the ostensible GOP congressional leaders by surprise, that if Republicans retained power they’d dust off every American adult with $5,000. Vote GOP, and you can get your beak wet — not exactly from the Adam Smith canon, was it?
The only actual consistent message the rest of the fall from the office of Washington, Jefferson and Lincoln is that Sen. Jon Husted (R-Ohio) has a nice ass.

This has been a fun one. A super scrappy and talented team, led by @HilaryBarrett91 @DanGottlieb_ #Stretch and many more, that put together a hell of a campaign in an unprecedented situation. Time to run through the tape.

I cannot wait to elect this man to the United States Senate today.
There's always money for bombs. There's always money for income tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans. But there's never any money for everyday people.
Susan Collins says she's "Our Senator" — but there’s no one in my life who feels that way. It’s our time, Maine. Get to the polls to vote her out today.

As far as election eve vibes go, I’m not sure it gets better than this. So incredibly proud of @TroyJackson207.

The real in the (sea)weeds story here: @TroyJackson207 not even in the U.S. Senate yet and already working to deliver support in Washington for Maine's lobster industry. 🦞🦞🦞
This is a bit deep in the (sea)weeds of Maine lobster politics, but quite notable after Republicans hit Troy Jackson for bringing Sen. Maria Cantwell to Maine.

Like she said, @SenatorCollins "does not regret" her vote for the justices that overturned Roe v. Wade

Since insulting working people wasn't enough, @SenatorCollins masterful closing argument continues by thanking well-known Mainer and working class champion @tedcruz
Thank you @SenTedCruz for your commitment to advance the Northeast Lobsterman Protection Act when the Senate returns in November.
@RepGolden's bipartisan legislation – which would extend the current pause on new North Atlantic right whale regulations through 2035 – is vital to protecting the lobster industry, which supports $2 billion in annual economic activity and more than 17,500 jobs.
@SenAngusKing and I wrote to Senator Cruz in September asking for his help moving this bill through committee.

I’ve been in this fight my whole life.
Don’t ever let them make you feel powerless. When working people stand together, there’s nothing we can’t do.
Today is the last day to vote early. Let’s go win this thing, Maine.
Pathetic close to a pathetic campaign. A nice preview of the kind of self-debasement we can expect from @JDVance in 2028.

Great job, Team Collins! The Senator and her allies taking home TWO of the top five worst ads of the cycle.
Huge accomplishment for y’all!

Great to visit All States Materials Group in Limerick and tour their impressive quarry in Cornish — including the highest point in York County. All States’ crews provide the materials necessary to build and maintain the roads that Mainers count on every day.
Thank you for the tour and for the hard work that keeps our communities connected.
